On Beyond the Gates, Chief of Police Elon Hawthorne is a tough act, but the man behind the badge, Malachi Malik, has a great sense of humour and gives his fans a light-hearted moment.
Malachi Malik takes us Beyond the Gates
Malachi Malik does a great job of turning himself into Police Chief Elon Hawthorne and riding his son Jacob (Jibre Hordges), or attempting to redirect the nosy reporter Smitty (Mike Manning), always coming off as a rather gruff and unyielding man, even when dealing with his son or, especially lately, with everyone. Some of his fans on Instagram have been playing around and joking with him, and Malik took to his Instagram Page to give us all a look at the lighter side of Chief Hawthorne.
Malik, made up into his later ego, Chief Hawthorne greeted his fans and showed that he was in the building and ready to go to work on our fave soap, Beyond the Gates, but first, he had a PSA. To all the fans that keep sending him emoji donuts in his DM’s, stop it, he said as he smiled. Not all cops eat Donuts. He went on to say that he’s the Police Chief and he’s far too busy keeping crime down to eat some donuts. “Now stop it he added or I’m gonna have to put some charges on y’all for harassment.”
This hilarious interaction with his fans only endears him more to the fans and viewers and we love that sort of thing from the stars. Maybe it could become a regular little thing? Ted ( Keith D. Robinson) might need to call on him to put some heat on Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) if he keeps sniffing around Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix).

Currently, though, Chief Hawthorne is very busy trying to contain the investigation into Kenneth's (Jason Vendryes) death in Stanza Park. Jacob has questions, and he’s not about to let this one go; all the threads are entwined, and if he pulls on them, the Dupree family and his own are going to be exposed. Can he dead-end this investigation before it's too late? Stay tuned, soap fans, there is plenty more drama to come.
