Ted gets his affair in order on Beyond the Gates

This story takes us back many years, to a rocky point in Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole's (Daphnée Duplaix) marriage. Several miscarriages had led to depression, and the two were very much shutting down as a couple.
It was at this point that Ted met a young lady named Dana (Trisha Mann-Grant), the first of many names she used. Ted and Dana began an affair, and Ted found himself rationalizing it. He explained to Nicole that it wasn't just about the sex for him, he thought he loved Dana. Somehow, Ted thought this information would make it less hurtful, as though it made it better that it wasn't a one-night stand.
Ted’s affair is out of order

Ted’s affair lost its appeal once Dana got pregnant, and things suddenly got very real, and this is where stories get split. Ted tells his version: Once Dana told him she was pregnant, they discussed it, and Dana’s idea was not to keep the baby. However, Dana tells a very, very different version. The way she explains it, Ted demanded that Dana not keep the baby, and he enlisted help from his buddy Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durett), a rising star lawyer at the time, with a reputation for ‘fixing’ things. Dana claims that Bill came to her with money and a threat to leave town and not to keep the baby. In fact, she says Bill dared her to have the baby— and if she did, neither she nor her baby would be safe. Bil allegedly told her that one day she could come to a stoplight and someone in a car next to her would leap out, snatch her baby, and sell it on the black market to the highest bidder.

Dana went to Chicago, had her baby in secret, and lived her life. She married a man named Alan Thomas and became the lady we now know as Leslie Thomas. After Alan's death, life was hard for Leslie and Eva; both of them worked and made just enough money to make ends meet.
Eventually, a plan was hatched that they would return to the leafy Maryland suburb and make Ted pay for casting them both aside so callously. Jump ahead to today, and Ted’s marriage to Nicole is rocked by Leslie's damaging and very public outing of her affair with Ted that resulted in a daughter. But with this, also comes the outing of Bill Hamilton’s part in this story. After Bill’s own infidelities, his daughters Cheslea (Rhonnirose Mantilla) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) are already less than enamored by their father, but this revelation will be another hit at their ability to forgive.
This is going to be a short week for Beyond the Gates, but it’s sure to deliver the drama. Do you think Bill said the horrid things he is accused of saying to "Dana" when she was pregnant? Leave a thought or three in the comments below.
