Quickly becoming a fan favorite, mystery man Kenny, played by Vendryes, has a storyline deeply rooted in the show's history. Right from the beginning, we discovered that Ex-Senator Vernon Dupree's (Clifton Davis) grandson, Martin (Brandon Claybon), had a haunted past, literally. And this past is catching up to him via nightmares and waking images, leaving him confused and feeling guilty. With links to organized crime through a crooked cop and a shadowy casino owner, this past just became Martin's present when Kenny found Martin and began a role at the Fairmont Crest Country Club to allow closer access to the congressman.

Kenny approached the table where the congressman was seated alone and said in a low, gravelly voice, “Let's see what color’s your money.” This line haunts Martin in his visions, and he can’t quite place it until now. Martin was as shocked as we were to hear it live and right in front of us in real time. Fans and viewers alike are hanging on to this storyline with a death grip as we all wait for more to be revealed about Kenny's true purpose and where it all started.

Speaking with SoapCentral, Vendryes was asked what his favorite thing about playing Kenny was, and this is what he had to say.

“With Kenny, I've never portrayed a character that is so mysterious. He was introduced in episode 51. I think 73 just aired, and we still don't know who he is, what he wants, and why he's in the orbit of the other characters. It's been fun hearing fan theories!”

Mr Vendryes, we thoroughly enjoy your addition to this storyline and cannot wait to see what you reveal to us next.
