What to Expect on Beyond the Gates
Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) approached Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) with plans for a free clinic funded by his own money. It was supposed to be a deal sweetener that Joey could use to legitimize his business and public image. Joey wasn’t swayed by that, as he was very happy with his image and didn't need it to be changed. In Wednesday's episode, Joey has a proposition for Leslie that comes with a catch. Just maybe Joey will invest in the clinic on the proviso that Leslie will have no further interest in Marcel (Darryl W. Handy)?
Juicy Gossip
In Wednesday's episode, Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) makes a juicy admission to Ashley (Jen Jacob). Not being in the loop with all the New Year's events, Ashley won’t have any idea that Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice shared their very first kiss on New Year's Eve.

On Wednesday, we get another treat as Vernon takes his teaching tone for us. Vernon doles out some sage advice to Dani. Advice is, what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't.
