What to expect on Beyond the Gates

The Dupree family has a massive task ahead of itself. Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) will need to muster all their diplomacy skills and peacemaking abilities for this one. Everyone is reeling, and no one was unscathed when Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) went scorched earth on Fairmont Crest. After the disastrous anniversary party, Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole's (Daphnée Duplaix) marriage is in ruins. Ted is at a local hotel, and Nicole is at the family house, full of anger and betrayal. Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), already upset at their father Bill (Timon Kyle Durett), are in shock at his part in Ted’s betrayal, and if true, could change their relationship more than ever. Bill was only just beginning to be able to talk to both his daughters, and had made some significant progress with Naomi after his infidelity and leaving their mother; this is a major setback at the least.

Eva tries to make amends

Kat (Colby Muhammed) doesn't even want to look at her father, Ted, and Eva, who has been shunned by everyone, including her mother. In the Friday episode of Beyond the Gates, the Duprees scramble to steady the ship in the wake of Ted’s betrayal, Eva struggles to make amends to her fractured relationships, her real father Ted, in the hopes that he will put aside his anger at the situation that unfolded at the country club and still be the father figure she needs, he had previously said that she will always have a place with his family, will that still hold true? Eva also still loves her mom despite the wild night she put everyone through, and being abandoned by her felt like a stab in the heart, so restoring hurt feelings on both sides is very important to Eva.

Look what the Kat dragged in

Friday's episode also has Kat witnessing an intimate moment that could change her life forever. Will this be Ted and Leslie reconnecting after all this time? Kat could see what appeared to be one way, but was another, creating unnecessary drama. Or will Kat see Eva being consoled by none other than her boyfriend, Tomas (Alex Alegria)? These are just a few of the possibilities. Beyond the Gates is set to deliver yet another big moment to finish our week.
