What to expect on Beyond the Gates

The new week on our new favorite series promises to deliver shocks and suspense. Kicking off with Nicole's (Daphnée Duplaix) assistant, Laura (Destiny Love), being released from the hospital and allowed to return home — and what's waiting for her? A lovely surprise from her favorite people: Mona (Karan Kendrick), Kat (Colby Muhammed), and Nicole are there to celebrate her discharge from the hospital. Next, we have young lawyer Tomas (Alex Alegia) in the offices of Bill Hamilton Esq. He’s asking a question as if it can't be real: “You want me to spy on your family?” Bill responds, “That's my job as a father.” Is Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) keeping an eye on Dani (Karla Mosley) and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla)? Or is it to keep an eye on his wife, Hayley (Marquita Goings)?

Finally, the third member of the famed girl group The Articulettes arrives in Fairmont Crest. Sharon, played by well-known singer/actress Bonita Brisker, arrives, and if her demeanor is anything to go by, then Tracy's (Maria Howell) peacemaking needs a little work. Sharon wastes no time in taking Anita (Tamara Tunie) to task for the sins of the past and rips into her, “Maybe it’s time I let everyone in on the secret.” The conversation doesn't lose steam or heat as Anita has some choice words for her former friend and “sister.” Anita claps back at Sharon with the zinger, “You can take that and stick it where the sun don't shine.” Anita leans into that old Dupree adage on Beyond the Gates, that Dupree women do not run nor hide.

Next up for our spoilers, the hot couple/not couple of Dani and Andre (Sean Freeman) are sitting around at Dani’s house, and Andre is telling Dani that he is changing. Dani does not understand and asks Andre, "Changing into what?" Andre replies that he's "changing into a guy who’s ready to move on." Is that it for Dani and Andre? Maybe Derek (Ben Gavin) needs to watch out; Andre got the scent that Ashley (Jen Jacob) wasn’t entirely happy. Does he fancy himself as the man for the job?

Despite all Leslie's (Trisha Mann-Grant) theatrics, the net has been cast, and it’s slowly being reeled in. Detective Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) is making all the right moves and playing things by the book; he wants an airtight case that the culprit cannot wiggle out of. Jacob and a fellow officer arrive at Leslie's door, and when she answers, Jacob tells her that he is there with a warrant to conduct a search of the premises. What is he looking for? Wigs? Potassium? Needles? Stay tuned, as Leslie has covered most bases thus far and doesn't look the type to make too many mistakes. However, Eva has turned the tables on her mom and tells her with quite the glare, “You need to stay on my good side…for a change.”

Closing out our spoilers, Bill and Hayley are talking on the couch when Bill suddenly collapses against her and is unresponsive, prompting Hayley to desperately call 911 and ask for an ambulance right away. Bill's problems with his hand are just the beginning. There is never a dull moment on Beyond the Gates.
