The Young and the Restless' Judith Chapman to star in 9/11 play The Guys

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, Judith Chapman (Gloria Fisher, The Young and the Restless; ex-Anjelica Deveraux, Days of our Lives) will star in The Guys, a play by Anne Nelson about the aftereffects of the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Daytime star Judith Chapman (Gloria Fisher, The Young and the Restless; ex-Anjelica Deveraux/Diana Colville, Days of our Lives) is once again stepping into the role of Joan in Anne Nelson's play The Guys, which will be running at the Palm Canyon Theatre in Palm Springs, California, on Saturday, September 11, and Sunday, September 12. The performances will commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

Showing the aftereffects of the collapse of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, The Guys tells the story of a New York Fire Department captain named Nick (played by Michael Pacas), who enlists an editor named Joan (Chapman) to write the eulogies of eight of his men who died in the collapse of the World Trade Center.

Hearing details of each of their lives, Joan helps Nick compile the difficult, heartfelt speeches that honor "ordinary, great guys in an extraordinary situation," while he navigates his own emotional response.
