Viewers need a scorecard to keep up with the comings and goings on The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives. On the heels of Billy Flynn leaving his role as Chad DiMera to take on the part of Cane (AKA Aristotle Dumas) comes the news that Conner Floyd is exiting his recurring role as Y&R's Chance to assume the role of Chad.
From The Young and the Restless to Days of our Lives

How does Flynn feel about his current co-star taking over his former role? The Daytime Emmy nominee took to social media to congratulate his successor in the role of Chad on his move to Salem. "Congrats @connorgfloyd!" Flynn posted. "Chad is [in] great hands. You're gonna crush it, man."
Speculation that Floyd would be making this move started after social media followers of Floyd's noticed that he began following the DAYS Instagram account.
Deadline broke the news of Floyd's move from Genoa City to Salem. Because of the Peacock drama's advanced taping schedule, Floyd won't be seen as Chad until April 2026. What we don't know just yet is how long he'll continue to be seen as Chance on Y&R.
Catch Chance while you can

Floyd is currently appearing on the show as Chance arrives at Cane's party in Nice, France, this week. A Y&R teaser for tomorrow's episode reveals that Abby (Melissa Ordway) will have a "Chance" encounter, indicating she's going to share screen time with her former husband.
No word yet on whether or not Y&R will recast the role of Chance. There are a few roads Y&R could take with Chance. One would be to write the character off the canvas. Another would be to recast the role. John Driscoll (ex-Coop, Guiding Light), Donny Boaz, and, briefly, Justin Gaston (ex-Ben, DAYS) have taken on the part of Chance. Gaston is the real-life husband of Melissa Ordway (Abby).
Gaston played the part briefly when he subbed for Boaz in the episodes in which Chance and Abby got married in the Chancellor mansion.
