When all else fails, tell the truth! That's certainly the stance Audra Charles took on The Young and the Restless when she fessed up about being in bed, figuratively, with Victor Newman. Audra claimed she wouldn't have gone all the way with Kyle, but she did hope to discredit him so that she could get funding for Vibrante.

Josh Griffith, Y&R's head writer and executive producer, recently chatted with TV Insider about Nate (Sean Dominic) and Audra's (Zuleyka Charles) future.

The scribe points out that while Audra wants another chance, it's going to be quite difficult for Nate to afford her that opportunity. Let's not forget that while Audra finally came clean and told the truth, that only occurred after weeks and weeks of her lying. Audra might call it an "omission of truth," but Nate likely feels that not being honest is, well, lying!

As she's lost Nate and Vibrante, Audra's been striking out. She was ready to rumble with an inebriated Claire (Hayley Erin) at Society, and they would have likely brawled had Holden (Nathan Owens) not intervened.

Audra regroups better than anyone. Her tenacity and her ability to spin failure into defeat have even earned her respect on some level from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) himself!

Griffith suggests that Audra's not one to feel sorry for herself for very long. She'll shake it off, as the song goes, and say to herself that it is time to find another way!

Soap Central speculated not too long ago that Audra could wind up as the next Mrs. Newman if she found a way to marry into that family. Now that her ex-beau, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), is headed back to town, perhaps that could happen? Griffith noted that Audra and Noah do have a history.

However, Audra reconnecting with Noah might have to wait until the storyline he's involved in that is set in Los Angeles concludes. Will Nate think things over and give Audra a second chance? Stay tuned to find out!
