The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Danny proposes marriage to Christine

Fans of Danny and Christine on The Young and the Restless have waited for the couple to get back together for decades. Now, that reunion is going to take one step further when Danny asks Christine to marry him.

“It’s come to that point where they both want to take it to the next level and where else could that be?” Damian previewed in an interview with TV Insider. “Could it be wedding bells?”

“They’ve got this amazing connection,” the actor/singer adds. "There’s this incredible history. They really haven’t had a home base because they’re gone so much, so they’re talking about the next steps, maybe getting something together.”

Christine and Danny's chemistry picked right up after he returned to the show a while back. “We have such a great time and a great rapport and great respect for each other,” he points out. “I’ve known her a long time, and to know someone a long time and have a chance to work with them and grow up with them and continue to work with them is very rare.”

I Do, I do

Damian says that the Y&R team came up with a very romantic proposal for him and Bell to enact. "It’s pretty amazing what they did," Damian raves. "I hope the audience enjoys it. It was really enjoyable to shoot. It’s going to be fun. We’ll bring the audience on this nice, magical mystery tour."

Christine hasn't said yes yet, so it's a bit early to start scouting locales. The first time Danny and Christine wed, they traveled to Hawaii with friends and family to tie the knot.

The Phyllis factor

Veteran viewers recall that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) got her hooks into Danny while he was performing in New York. She duped him into thinking that he had impregnated her and she'd given birth to his son, Daniel (Michael Graziadei).

Phyllis went so far as to try to kill both Chris and Paul (Doug Davidson) to make sure that Chris and Danny would never get back together. How will the fiery redhead react to Danny and Christine getting back together (if, that is, Christine accepts)?
