The Young and the Restless star Cait Fairbanks is engaged to be married 

The Young and the Restless character Tessa Porter is going through a rough time in her personal life as her wife, Mariah, has pushed her away. However, in real life, Tessa's portrayer, Cait Fairbanks, has reason to celebrate! The actress/singer is engaged to Jay Rudolph, a musician.

The couple's engagement was confirmed in both of their Instagram stories. On Rudolph's social account, there was a photo of Farbanks' left hand, showing an engagement ring on her ring finger. The caption read: "She said yes!"

Rudolph has music in common with his future wife. He's a drummer who has toured with Weyes Blood. Also, he has contributed to Marlon Rabenreither's song "Wild Boys."

The two have been dating for approximately five years. On Fairbank's birthday a few years ago, Rudolph shared a post featuring photos of the Y&R actress, saying, "It’s 🎂@caitfairbanks day🎂 my heart grew a couple sizes in her hands ..."

Fortunately, Fairbanks isn't suffering the romantic mishaps that Tessa is. Earlier this year, Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Tessa's wife, cut off communication with her and finally revealed that she had to distance herself from Tessa because she nearly killed a man!

Around this time, Tessa and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) began to form a bond. He was grieving the loss of Heather (Vail Bloom). To help him move forward, he started taking guitar lessons from Tessa.

Much to his mother's (Phyllis, played by Michelle Stafford) chagrin, Daniel continued to help Tessa through her marital ordeal even though he was falling for her. The two shared a kiss. Recently, they attended Danny (Michael Damian) and Cricket's (Lauralee Bell) wedding, where they performed a song.

Mariah has dealt partially with her trauma while at a clinic in Boston, but she's left word with medical personnel there that she no longer wants to see Tessa. If Mariah deals with her demons and decides to return to Genoa City in the hopes of reconciling with Tessa, she may find that Tessa has moved on with Daniel.
