The Young and the Restless Christel Khalil has much to celebrate these days. She's in a frontburner storyline on Y&R as her character, Lily, is at odds over how her ex-husband, Cane, fits into her life. She's sparring with Phyllis, and, in real-life, Khalil is celebrating her birthday!
The Young and the Restless, happy birthday, Christel Khalil

Christel Adnana Mina Khalilwas born on November 30, 1987 in Los Angeles. She landed her landmark role as Lily Winters on Y&R in 2002. Khalil has left Y&R twice over the course of her career. After her first exit in 2005, actress Davetta Sherwood took over the part. Khalil returned to the part in 2006. Then, the actress left in 2018. The show wrote Lily off the canvas by sending her to prison for her accidental role in the death of Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and her unborn child. (The two died after sustaining injuries in a car accident; Lily was behind the wheel.)
She returned to the show full-time in 2020. The actress has had roles in the films Dragon Fury, Matilda, White Like the Moon, Interview with the Assassin; she also voiced the part of Cornelia in W.I.T.C.H. Her credits also included the Lifetime network movie, Good Deed, a thriller. In 2012, Khalil won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Daytime Drama Series, a category that has since been retired.
The Perils of Lily Winters

Y&R reminded viewers of the dangers of online dating when Lily fell into a relationship with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), an internet predator. Lily and Kevin entered into a sexual relationship, which resulted in Lily contracting chlamydia.
Next, she dated Daniel (Michael Graziadei), but the relationship that's been her longest is with Cane (first, Daniel Goddard; now, Billy Flynn). Cane and Lily were together for years. He stood by her when she conquered cancer, and they became parents when surrogate Mac (Clemetine Ford) delivered their twins, Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry).
Cane ran off to track down his father, Colin (the late Tristan Rogers), who had made off with Devon's (Bryton James) fortune. Devon got his money back, but Cane and Lily ended their marriage. He came back into her life last year, using the handle Aristotle Dumas. Lily has softened towards Cane a little bit as of late, defending him to Chelsea (Melissa Ordway) and Adam (Mark Grossman), but the two still aren't even close to reuniting.
Soap Central wishes Khalil a happy birthday and many happy returns.
