The Young and the Restless star Christian LeBlanc is embarking on a new role. Next year, he's going to travel from Genoa City to the East Coast to take on a stage role.

The Young and the Restless, At Home at the Zoo

LeBlanc, who plays Michael Baldwin on Y&R, is taking on a role in Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo, which is a follow-up to his turn in September of Albee's The Zoo Story. This production stars LeBlanc, Broadway star Nancy Lemenager (Chicago, Movin’ Out, Never Gonna Dance), and Off-Broadway actor Matt de Rogatis (The Zoo Story). The play will be directed by Theo Devaney and is set for a three-night consecutive run, starting Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Jersey Shore Arts Center.

The production promises a visceral, psychologically charged experience as domestic intimacy collides with feral desperation -- culminating in the now-legendary park bench encounter that changed American theater forever. At Home at the Zoo is a blazing portrait of marriage, loneliness, masculinity, power, and the human need to be seen.

This exclusive and limited three-night event takes place January 15th at 7:00 PM, January 16th at 8:00 PM, and January 17th at 8:00 PM with audience talkbacks featured on the 15th and 16th.

All shows will be performed at the Jersey Shore Arts Center – 66 South Main Street – Ocean Grove, NJ. Tickets start at $59 with VIP packages available for $79. Now on sale at Ruth Stage and Eventbrite.

Michael and Lauren, setting the stage for romance

LeBlanc celebrated on-screen 20 years of soap opera marriage to co-star Tracey Bregman, who plays Michael's wife, Lauren. In a sentimental move, Michael recreated a bit, the casino theme that he used to propose to Lauren all those years ago.

The two walked down memory lane as viewers were treated to flashbacks from Michael and Lauren's legendary love story. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), the couple's good friend, briefly interrupted the festivities as she had arrived home at the Genoa City Athletic Club, the place Michael chose to celebrate his and Lauren's special day.

Michael promised a vacation for Lauren on The Young and the Restless, which will include her son, Scott (Daniel Hall), and their son, Fenmore (Zach Tinker). Gloria (Judith Chapman) got a mention at the top of the anniversary episode as Lauren was talking to her mother-in-law on the phone when she walked into the club.
