Everyone who watches Nick on The Young and the Restless knows that he is fiercely protective of his children — and he's proud of them, too! The same can be said about Nick's portrayer, Joshua Morrow, and his real-life son, Crew Morrow, who plays Will on The Bold and the Beautiful.
The Young and the Restless, father's pride

Crew Morrow took after his dad's footsteps exactly 30 years after his dad, Joshua Morrow, entered the world of soaps. Ironically, Joshua auditioned for a role on The Bold and the Beautiful in 1994, which went to Dylan Neal (ex-Dylan). A short time later, Joshua was cast as Nick on The Young and the Restless.
In 2024, Crew joined B&B as Will Spencer, the son of Bill Spencer. Bill is played by actor Don Diamont, who was on Y&R for many years as Brad Carlton. "He’s his own man, and he actually wants very little to do with what I say," Joshua said to Soap Opera Digest of Crew, "but it’s just sort of the way he was brought into this earth, man. He’s always had a very, very strong purpose to himself."
The future is bright

The elder Morrow is impressed with his son's progress. He thinks his son is getting better when he watches him on TV. The elder Morrow sees that his son is picking up the nuance that it takes to become a regular on a daytime drama and bring Will to life, and he's truly proud of his son.
Joshua quipped that B&B likes Crew, and "they should," noting that his son has a strong work ethic. He believes his boy has a big future ahead of him, and he says he loves him so much. Alas, now that B&B has moved studios, Joshua says he can't spend time with Crew now that their soaps no longer shoot across the hall from one another.
The two Morrows can't see each other at work any longer, and it's not as easy for them to have lunch together. Perhaps someday, the two shows will do another crossover, and in this one, Nick Newman can encounter Will Spencer — and the two Morrows can share some screen time!
