The Young and the Restless' Zuleyka Silver has a reason to celebrate

On The Young and the Restless, Zuleyka Silver plays the ever-strategic Audra Charles. While Audra may be looking for a win, the talented actress has plenty to celebrate.

Zuleyka Silver was born on August 2nd in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico; she came to America when she was seven years old and grew up in Mid City, CA. The actress has said that she doesn’t feel she is 100% American or Mexican, but rather, she is both.

While it might be hard to envision Zuleyka Silver as anyone other than the embodiment of Y&R’s Audra Charles now, Silver made her television debut in 2010. She first appeared in the TV movie The Strip, and from there, she appeared in TV shows like The Mentalist, Touch, 90210, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. From dramas to sitcoms, Silver also appeared in Code Black and Hawaii Five-O and played Selena on Young Sheldon.

Leaning into her comedic side, some fans may recognize Silver as part of a recurring comedy routine on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She played the role of Mrs. Guillermo for several episodes.

Of course, dedicated soap fans may have thought that the actress looked familiar when she joined the cast of The Young and the Restless, and they were right — it was not her first appearance in a daytime serial. The actress played a model on Y&R’s sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful.

In an interview with KCAL’s Suzanne Marques, Zuleyka Silver spoke about playing Y&R's Audra Charles. “I love Audra so much. I never know what she’s going to do next,” Silver said. She also shared that Audra has taught her a lot about not being afraid to “take up space.” The actress appreciates how authentic Audra is and how she is not afraid to speak her mind.

Those qualities have certainly been on the forefront lately as Audra tried to get the upper hand over Kyle (Michael Mealor). However, she showed her cards last month while they were in the French Riviera, and next week, Audra will find out the hard way what happens when you fail your mission with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). While she won’t get through next week unscathed professionally, she may have to do some fancy footwork to save her relationship with Nate (Sean Dominic) as well.
