Y&R's Steve Burton and GH's Derk Cheetwood offering fans professional acting guidance

The Young and the Restless star Steve Burton (Dylan McAvoy) has teamed up with General Hospital's Derk Cheetwood (Max Giambetti) to offer fans guidance on how to become professional actors.

Your golden ticket to making it in Hollywood just arrived via the new project by Steve Burton (Dylan McAvoy, The Young and the Restless; ex-Jason Morgan, General Hospital) and Derk Cheetwood (Max Giambetti, GH). The pair has teamed up and launched Hollywood Schooled, which aims to give new actors all the tools they need to start a professional acting career in Los Angeles.

"You may have the dream of becoming a working actor or actress. Sometimes it just starts by watching a movie or a TV show and thinking to yourself, 'Hey, I can do that,' or, 'Hey, I want to do that, but I just don't know how.' Well, they call that being bit by the acting bug, and the truth is, if this is you, you already know who you are, and you just need some information, and you need a little guidance," says Burton in an official Hollywood Schooled video.

"If you live in a small town somewhere here in the US or maybe in another country and you want to become a working actor in Hollywood and you just don't know where to start, we're here to help," he continues. "Have you been active in high school drama or community theater, maybe both, but you don't know what making a run at becoming a professional actor really looks like? Well, you're not alone, because most people who come to Hollywood, they don't know where to start. And most of the time, they don't get off to the right start, either. A lot happens from the moment you decide to pursue an acting career to actually putting that plan into action. So if there's something stirring inside of you and this is your passion and you want and need answers, what would it mean to essentially have a blueprint from two working actors with over 50 years of combined experience who not only can share their personal stories but give you invaluable advice and interview other Hollywood professionals like casting directors, directors, agents, managers, you get my point. You don't know where to start? You start here. Here's your chance to join an elite community of industry professionals and get Hollywood Schooled."
