Steve Burton exits Y&R; castmates share farewell wishes

Stars of The Young and the Restless share goodbye messages for Steve Burton, who's wrapping up the role of Dylan McAvoy.

The daytime community was shocked this past October when Steve Burton announced he intended to depart the role of The Young and the Restless' Dylan McAvoy just three years into playing the character. The time has now come for the actor to walk away from the CBS soap, prompting his costars to share some fond farewells.

Several Y&R actors gathered over the weekend to celebrate Burton's exit. "Bittersweet fun last night...! I will miss my sweet son," shared Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) of the somewhat sad festivities.

"We love you, Steve Burton!" shared Lauralee Bell (Christine Williams) along with a photo of Burton posing with his Y&R castmates.

Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) also took to social media, sharing a photo of himself with Burton and Bryton James (Devon Hamilton). He wrote, "To my left 2 men I will trust till the day I die. @1SteveBurton u r a Titan of unshakeable character. Enjoy ur family my friend #adieu."

As for what soap fans can expect from the actor once he last airs on Y&R, he and his former General Hospital castmate Derk Cheetwood (Max Giambetti) announced that they have started a company called Hollywood Schooled that offers audio coaching on how new actors can make it big in Los Angeles.
