Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless
We're not championing any kind of romantic dynamic between Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) on The Young and the Restless, but the two characters certainly captivate us when they're in scenes together. We simply can't get enough of these two. The constant cat-and-mouse and powerplay scenes with these two are compelling. Victor doesn't hand out respect easily, and Phyllis is the consummate wild card in Genoa City. We can see in Victor's eyes that he respects Phyllis on some level. The constant push/pull between these two is one of Y&R's most fascinating dynamics as both attempt to grab the upper hand in their dealings. Phyllis rolled the dice big time by handing Cane's (Billy Flynn) coveted AI program over to the mogul, and now, Jabot Cosmetics is headed for a big fall thanks to a hit piece put out on the company. Victor practically expected Phyllis to show up at his ranch and told his security to send her inside his home. Victor reveled in Phyllis's discomfort. She feared Jabot would be destroyed, so there'd be no company for her to run once he wrests control of it. Victor calmly stated, "Phyllis, please don't get all worked up, all right? You'll get what I promised you." The fiery redhead isn't so sure. Phyllis and Victor are likely due for more showdowns. We can't wait for the next one.
