Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless
Once the half-hour mark is hit on hour-long soaps, viewers pretty much know who's going to be in the episode. Or not. The Young and the Restless delivered a pleasant surprise today when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) wished Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) all the best in life as he walked out of hers, seemingly for the last time. The scene was dramatic (Claire looked surprised) on its own, but Y&R threw in a bonus -- Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was just around the corner, eating up every bit of the couple's breakup like it was one of Society's scrumptious desserts! Inside the eatery, Audra doled out her daily dose of digs to Holden (Nathan Owens) about Claire. Then, the Newman heiress appeared and told Audra to back off. The showdowns between these two have become a favorite among viewers. While Y&R has many great female friendships, it also has its share of rivalries. The one between Claire and Audra is at the top of many people's favorites! Claire and Audra had not been afraid to get physically combative with each other, and today was no exception. They didn't resort to trading physical blows (though check back next week -- anything is possible!), but Claire did pick up a drink and throw it in Audra's face! This wasn't bad as Friday tags go, as we're wondering if the show will pick up directly on Monday, as Audra reacts to Claire's attack!
