Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

If you bet that the mysterious person who found Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) was going to be Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) or someone else sympathetic to Matt, you would have lost that bet! The Young and the Restless threw us a big twist in Matt's story that dovetails nicely into another storyline. The Abbotts have been stymied by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who seems to have the upper hand at every turn. Well, that all changed today when Kyle (Michael Mealor) and the Abbott security team (which we have to say appears to be more efficient than the one Victor employs) presented a captive Matt to Jack (Peter Bergman). We're hoping that the zip ties the Abbott security team uses are more sturdy than the ones the Newmans used! Kyle brought Jack and Diane (Susan Walters) up to speed on Matt's latest atrocities -- running Noah (Lucas Adams) off the road and causing Nick (Joshua Morrow) to be in the hospital, needing surgery. Jack's first concern was for his former stepson (Nick) and Nick's mom, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Would Victor have asked the same about Kyle (who was his stepson, briefly, during his second marriage to Diane) had positions been reversed? We like to think so. In any event, the pendulum in the battle between Victor and Jack has finally swung Jack's way! Who would have thought that Matt Clark would be the person to give Jack the edge in getting one up on Victor?
