Amelia Heinle, who plays Victoria Newman on The Young and the Restless, brings an understated and vulnerable charm to her role. As evidenced by the passionate performance she gave this week when Vicki and Jack confronted Billy, it's clear that Heinle is capable of much more. As a result, Soap Central is bestowing the actress with our Performer of the Week honors for Y&R.
Amelia Heinle, The Young and the Restless

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) didn't need a host of folks from Billy's (Jason Thompson) life to stage an intervention. He only required one person -- Victoria Newman, Billy's former wife and the mother of his children, Johnny and Katie.
There's always been a cordial bond between Jack and his former step-daughter. The two met at Society and exchanged pleasantries before getting down to business. Jack needed Vicki's help with Billy, as he was going off the rails. Jack brought Vicki up to speed on Billy's involvement with Cane (Billy Flynn) and his AI software. Victoria has a great poker face as she feigned knowing anything specific about Cane's AI product.
When Vicki showed up with Jack at Billy's home, she was prepared to go head-to-head with her gambling ex. At first, Vicki didn't say much as Jack and Billy went back and forth, but the look in Heinle's eyes read that Vicki knew she was in for a fight with her ex-husband. Everything Jack had warned her about was true.
When Billy met Vicki

Vicki had been down this road with Billy before. She knows when he turns to gambling, there's no reaching him. But she tried anyway. Billy proclaimed that he didn't need his ex-wife and his brother telling him how to live his life.
"And he's back!" Victoria exclaimed! "This Billy, with the gambling addict's gleam in his eye, who only thinks about himself. Forget about how this affects anyone else in his life."
Billy shouted that Vicki and Jack could call what he was doing revenge, given Victor's treatment of him over the years. Heinle had Victoria shake her head in disgust as Billy's ex realized he was going down some dark, familiar paths.
The intensity of the scenes called for the characters to talk and even yell over one another. Heinle made sure that Vicki's passionate feelings about where Billy was going didn't get lost in the melee.
When Billy accused his Victoria of not knowing what she was talking about, Heinle had her character yell over him, "Do you know, Billy? Do you know what you're talking about?"
Like talking to a wall

Nobody knows a person like an ex-spouse. Victoria told Billy that she knew he was gambling again. "I saw it in your eyes when I walked in here," Victoria insisted. "You got the fever again, and you got it bad. I can tell."
Billy continued to deny and deflect, but that only fueled Heinle to bring more intensity to her The Young and the Restless character. "I can see it," Vicki insisted. "There may not be a huge pile of money on the table, but the stakes are just as high. No matter how far off the grid it takes you, you're all in, right?"
Victoria asked two rhetorical questions in an effort to let Billy know how bad off he is. "Have you broken the law for Cane yet? Do you want Johnny and Kate to visit their dad in prison?"
A frustrated Vicki and Jack left after failing to make an impact on Billy. Heinle, however, made a powerful impression on viewers as Victoria did her best to make her ex-husband realize he was rolling the dice with his future, and the odds may not be in his favor.
