On the Friday, December 5th episode of The Young and the Restless, Jack confided in Nikki, Claire and Audra's feud turned physical, which led to Kyle and Claire forming an alliance to take her down.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

At the Abbott household, Diane asked Kyle if he needed anything from her. She asked whether there were any updates on the situation with Jabot, and he confirmed that the assets had begun being transferred to the offshore accounts. So far, Victor hadn't unleashed the AI program on Jabot, but that didn't mean they were in the clear. He worried that the software could locate the transferred funds, so even with their best efforts, Jabot could be left in financial ruin.
Diane thought that this would be their best chance to put Victor behind bars. It was difficult to catch him doing anything illegal, and this served as an opportunity to rid their lives of him once and for all. Diane decided to leave Kyle to his work, but he was concerned the situation would ultimately destroy their family company. None of the Abbotts were getting much sleep with the constant threat of Victor and the AI program looking like a dark cloud that was hanging over their heads. Kyle encouraged his mother to get some much-needed rest, but she couldn't.
Kyle told Diane to stop worrying about the what-ifs because Victor would attack them; it was just a matter of when the ruthless titan would strike. Diane wondered whether Victor had already infected Jabot with the program, but Kyle didn't see any indication that it had. The idea of shutting down Jabot to bring it back later could flatline their community, making all their efforts irrelevant. They debated whether or not Jack was truly relaxed about the impending attack. Kyle believed his father was chill, but Diane felt like the calm surface was a facade.
Diane compared him to his father, but he also believed he was a lot like her, and he vowed to find something to take down Victor. They bonded over both being parents of sons, and he told her he had plans to see Claire at Society. Diane's face widened to the biggest grin ever, and Kyle told her not to read too much into it.
Holden reached out to Cane and attempted to devise ways to help Arabesque and his position at the company. Claire walked in, and Holden immediately perked up. Claire requested to join him, and he offered to buy him a drink. She declined his offer because she already had existing plans to meet Kyle. He was surprised, and he asked what the occasion was. Claire told him it was just a drink and there wasn't anything more to it.
Holden believed Claire had made up her mind about him and that their time in Los Angeles had changed her opinion of him. He worried that bringing it up to her would push her further away, but he needed to know what caused the vibe shift. Claire explained that it wasn't the secret involving Audra that bothered her; it was what she believed he withheld from her. She didn't think he was entirely forthcoming with his revelations.
Holden appreciated Claire's directness about her feelings. Considering how Claire was raised and the sea of secrets Jordan kept her in, she valued honesty above all else. This was the main factor in her stepping back from Kyle. Holden kept pushing about the true reason that Claire backed away from him. He asked if she looked for a reason to slow down their connection, but she believed there was more to his story. What he divulged to her about the past with Audra didn't account for the level of secrecy that initially surrounded the secrets.
Audra showed up at Society and demanded that Claire stop digging into her past. She told Claire, "You grew up as Aunty's evil sidekick, groomed to do all of her dirty work, so you suspect everyone to be as corrupt as you are. But congrats, you are the biggest criminal in this room." Claire fired back at Audra, saying she was more worried about Holden than she was about Audra. Audra said Claire would hate her for telling her, but she exposed that he did that with ladies at The Shadow Room for more tips.
Audra also told Claire that she was probably the next victim because of her large bank account. Holden ordered Audra to get her food and leave them in peace. Claire asked what Audra did for tips, and she accused her of being miserable. Claire said that Audra had no life, no work, and no romance, which prompted Audra to slap Claire in the face with every ounce of power she possessed. Claire wrapped her hands around Audra's throat, but Holden managed to pull her off.
Claire threatened Audra that if she came after her again, she would shut her up for good. She stormed off and met Kyle at the door, and demanded he take her somewhere far away from Audra. Holden accused Audra of provoking the assault, but Audra asserted that Claire was the primary aggressor. He felt like she had handed Claire a reason to dig deeper into their past.
Nikki was on the phone with Victor, seeking answers about what was happening with Noah in Los Angeles. She asked him to bring the family home soon so they could enjoy the holidays. Jack walked up to Nikki at the tail-end of her conversation, and he noticed Nikki was rattled by the call. He told her not to rush Victor back to Genoa City because he was going to take his sweet time getting back, regardless of her pleas.
Nikki asked Jack if he had any insider information about the events unfolding in Los Angeles. Jack didn't know anything; he just hated Victor and didn't want him back. Nikki recalled how guarded Nick was about everything when they were there, and she considered flying back to California to seek her own answers. Jack told her to follow her heart, and if she needed to head back to L.A. to help her family, she should go. Nikki wasn't convinced that her family was giving her the full story, and she thought they kept secrets from her in the name of protection.
Jack reminded Nikki how much she was loved by her family, and sometimes that meant holding things back for her safety. She didn't think that lying and keeping secrets were the way to handle anything. They both realized that the truce between them and Victor was never meant to last. Nikki caught on to a new level of frustration in Jack's voice, and she asked what Victor had done this time to cause him harm.
Jack asked if it mattered, and he told her about Cane's company being decimated by his own AI program. He reminded her that she had promised him that she'd do everything in her power to prevent Victor from attacking the family company. She agreed she did, and asked whether Jack had any precautions in place to protect his business from Victor's attack. He offered to tell her everything, but asked her to keep it a secret from Victor.
Nikki needed to know what was going on, and he revealed that Jabot was shutting down all operations. She was stunned by the news, but he asserted it was the only way to prevent the cyberattack. Nikki was concerned that the company would never recover, but Jack maintained that it was the only way. She didn't think anyone would use the program against him, but she confirmed that Victor had it and used it to cripple Cane. Nikki apologized that Jack was in this position, and she wished there was a wya to pull the program from her husband. This gave Jack a new thought: why couldn't she?
Diane arrived at the GCAC and walked up to Jack and Nikki at their table. She apologized for keeping Jack waiting, and she greeted Nikki. Jack didn't want Nikki to leave, but she promised to give him an update once she thought things through. He told his wife that Nikki had confessed Victor had possession of the program, but once the truth was confirmed, he tasked Nikki with getting rid of the AI program. Diane didn't think Victor would cooperate, so she was pleased that their contingency plan remained in place.
Jack told Daine that there was something else she needed to know. Jack revealed his plan to Nikki about Jabot's shutdown, and she flew off the handle. Diane was disgusted that Jack considered Nikki his best friend, despite being married to his number one rival. She couldn't fathom what he was thinking by putting the fate of their company's future in Nikki's hands. Jack promised that Nikki would do everything in her power to keep Victor away from them.
Kyle and Claire arrived at the GCAC, and Jack noticed that Claire was highly agitated. Diane also observed that something was bothering Claire, but they didn't think Kyle was the target of Claire's aggression. Kyle wondered why the argument was between her and Audra, and they decided to team up to destroy Audra once and for all. Claire claimed to have the best way to ensure that it happened.
Kyle wasn't sure how to target Audra since she didn't have anything solid in Genoa City. However, Claire had criminal dirt against Audra, and she planned to bury her with it. Kyle worried that Claire should keep her hands clean, but Claire wanted to be part of her downfall. They toasted to Audra's downfall, forming a dangerous alliance.
