The Young and the Restless recap, June 3, 2025: Kyle makes a five-million-dollar deal with Victor for Claire's sake 

Here's what happened on the June 3, 2025, episode of The Young and the Restless as Kyle proposed a deal to change Victor's mind about him, and Cole's health took a turn for the worse.

What happened on The Young and the Restless

As Nikki's birthday gala continued in the jazz lounge, Kyle told Claire that he was grateful that Nikki had done so much for her. Claire was hopeful that Victor would come around about Kyle. After all, Claire had tried to poison her whole family and Victor forgave that. Kyle reminded Claire that she'd been brainwashed.

Kyle lamented that he hadn’t changed Victor’s mind, but he didn’t want to bring the mood down. Claire quipped that maybe Nikki should have ridden into the party on an elephant, as party planner Pietro had suggested. Claire complimented Pietro for putting together a fabulous party. Kyle shared with Claire that he had one more move to try to win Victor over.

Victor complimented both the cake and the party that Claire had put together, but he told Nikki that Kyle’s big speech to Nikki was calculated. Victor was unimpressed. Nikki implored Victor to give Kyle a chance.

Meanwhile, Chelsea shared with Adam her observation that Victor is no fan of Kyle's. Adam quipped that if Victor killed Kyle, then they wouldn’t have to worry about him interfering in their lives. He added that he’d face the wrath of 10 Victor Newmans for her love. A grateful Chelsea invited Chelsea out onto the dance floor.

With Lauren at his side, Michael asked Nick if he was avoiding him because he had stopped working for Victor. Nick pointed out that this wasn’t the first time Michael and his father had taken a break. He theorized they might get back together.

Jack and Diane invited Devon and Abby over to the Abbott home. Devon shared that he'd just received a text inviting him to Dumas’s party. Meanwhile, Cole, while dancing with Victoria, began to have trouble breathing. Kyle and others aided Cole in taking a seat. Victoria asked that 911 be called. Cole kept apologizing as Victoria and Claire helped him up the stairs.

Nick surmised that Cole picked up a bug while traveling abroad. Sharon hoped that Cole would be okay. Lauren changed the subject from Cole's health to Michael being worried about Victor. Michael said it wasn’t appropriate for him and Lauren to attend Dumas’s party later that month, as he wasn’t working for Victor.

Nikki thanked Kyle for his toast. She said she was moved and hoped everyone was. Kyle asked for an audience alone with Victor. The mogul said the purpose of the evening was to honor Nikki – not hash out Victor and Kyle’s differences.

Meanwhile, Ashley said that Dumas inviting strangers to his home sounded creepy. Devon suggested it was the setup of a horror movie, but he wanted to tell Dumas that he was not afraid of him. Across the room, Sharon picked Nick’s brain as to what all the fuss about Dumas was about. Nick theorized that the mysterious businessman could be going after Chancellor Industries, which would affect Nikki. Victor’s son wondered if everyone was being lured there to do battle with Dumas. Nick doesn’t like that Dumas lives in the shadows. He’s hoping more will be revealed if he and others go to his party.

Esther told Diane that she prided herself on being a "barista therapist" thanks to their chat late last year. Then, Jack asked if Cole was okay. Ashley hoped he was and commented on how beautiful the evening was. Nikki wished to Jack that Victor would get past his issues with Kyle.

Meanwhile, Victor gave Kyle five minutes at the bar upstairs at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Kyle pointed out to Victor that there was a time when they got along. Victor quipped that that had been a mistake. Kyle offered to show Victor how dedicated he was to Claire. Kyle said that he’d make a deal with Victor so that he could love his granddaughter freely.

Kyle offered to sign a contract in which he would leave town if he broke Claire's heart. Victor scoffed that there'd be no way to enforce that. Kyle upped the ante by offering to give Victor 5 million dollars if he broke Claire’s heart. “Five million dollars?” marveled Victor.

Meanwhile, Adam and Chelsea discussed Nick and Sharon getting back together. Chelsea theorized that maybe Nick would change his mind about reconciling with his ex. She pointed out to Adam that his half-brother was a good guy.

Sharon shared with Nick that while she was trapped in the clinic with Phyllis, she never imagined she'd ever experience having a night like this. While that was going on, Ashley complimented Pietro on Nikki’s cake. Abby told her mother she was sorry that she was still having bad memories, thanks to Martin. Then, Abby got a text. She learned that Dominic had a nightmare, and he wanted his mom. Ashley encouraged her daughter to go home to her son.

Diane thanked Michael for leaving Victor's employ because of the war with Jack. "It makes me love you even more,” Diane said as she hugged Michael. As that was going on, Lauren revealed to Jack and Nikki that Michael was having second thoughts about leaving Victor.

At the GCAC bar, Claire shared with Victor and Kyle that Cole’s fever had spiked and that Victoria was going to stay with him at the club. Victor didn't want Vicki risking her health. The mogul suggested that Cole go to the hospital, where his physician could attend to him. Before Victor left, he told Kyle that he'd think about his proposal.

Nikki told Sharon that she got Faith’s gift and that she chatted with Summer and Noah. Sharon pointed out that she was surprised Chelsea and Adam got back together. Nikki countered that Adam was thinking the same way about Nick and Sharon ever getting back together. Meanwhile, Adam hoped that nobody caught Cole's illness. Nick and Chelsea got caught up while Adam chatted with Jack. She wondered what he thought of her and Adam getting back together. The Newman heir observed that his half-brother was a better man thanks to her. Chelsea promised to try to keep Adam from going to the dark side.

Ashley and Sharon caught up at the bar. Sharon said that Nick and her kids have been a source of great support. Ash wondered if Sharon was doing better because she was a therapist. Sharon wondered if Ashley was worried about Traci. The chemist pointed out that it was easy to get swallowed up by darkness.

Victor told a minion on the phone to get the scoop on Dumas. Then, Victor thanked Devon for putting his issues about Nikki and Chancellor to the side. Devon mused that that's what family does. He added that he and Lily were invited to Dumas's residence. "Bring it on!" Victor declared.

Next, Victor updated Nikki on Cole’s condition. Nikki wondered if it was more serious than the flu. Victor diagnosed that it would be the beginning of pneumonia. Then, Jack toasted the birthday girl, which didn't go over well with Victor.

As the party started to wind down, Chelsea suggested to Adam that they go upstairs and have a drink. Adam noted they could stop by the taco place on their way home. Chelsea joked that maybe Nikki would let them borrow her new car. Meanwhile, Michael tried to thank Victor for his hospitality. The mogul barely looked at his ex-employee.

Nick invited Sharon to be his guest at Dumas's party. Jack, Diane, and Esther said their goodbyes to Nikki and then left. Claire thanked Pietro for everything. She told him it was the party of Nikki’s dreams. The planner complimented Claire on Kyle and called him a "keeper." He added he does weddings, too, hinting that if Kyle and Claire needed him, they could call him. Claire let Kyle know she wasn’t in any rush to tie the knot. Kyle told Claire he had made an offer to Victor that he hoped he wouldn't refuse.

Nikki pointed out to Victor all the great gifts she received on her special day. Victor said that she taught their family how to love and that she taught him how to love too. Victor let Nikki know that Kyle tried to change his mind about Claire. Nikki said Victor accepting Kyle and Claire as a couple would be the ultimate present.
