On the Tuesday, May 13th episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis pulled a fast one on Billy and Sally, Damian and Chelsea firmed up business deals, and Victor opted to have a drink with a past associate.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Damian and Lily met at the jazz lounge at the Genoa City Athletic Club. She asked Damian why he wanted to meet at the jazz lounge named after her late father, Neil. Lily said he was a special man, and she lamented that Damian never had the chance to meet Neil.
Damian shared that he told Holden about Lily's job offer. Lily asked what Damian's decision was, and did Holden help him make it? "A man has to own his own choices," Damian noted.
Damian asked a question before he gave Lily an answer about her job offer. He wanted to know what Lily's plan for him was and accused Lily of scheming. He said he'd made his decision, but Lily's response could change that.
Lily revealed she wanted Damian at her company because of his talent and so that he'd open up a dialogue between Dumas and her. Lily suggested that Damian would work for her, but would tell Dumas that he had information about Lily's company that he might want. Lily wanted to know what his endgame would be. Damian asked if his title at her company would be "double agent." Lily asked Damian if he was in.
Damian said he'd have a target on his back. Lily felt confident he could handle the heat. Damian asked if Lily felt she could trust him. Lily assured Damian she wasn't playing him. He said it felt risky to trust Lily because she was so suspicious of him. Lily was counting on Damian not wanting to hurt Amy or Nate. Lily pointed to the picture of her father on the wall as evidence of how she cares about her family.
Lily theorized that Damian should team up with her because he wants to impress her. She asked if she was wrong about that. Damian lamented that Lily could see right through him. He said he would not expose her plan to Dumas.
"Will you accept my offer to be a double agent?" Lily asked Damian. He put out his hand and told her they had a deal. They shook on it once Lily assured Damian he'd be pleased.
Lily told Damian that every second counts and suggested they meet with Devon and Nate. She explained that a past plan almost destroyed their company. Damian made a toast to her new favorite person. Lily advised Damian not to come on board with her to impress her. Damian asked what Nate's concerns were about his joining the Winters family business. Lily suggested Damian talk to his half-brother if he had questions.
At Adam's office, Chelsea asked Adam if he had time to talk. He asked if it were a mistake to think she had good news for him. Chelsea shared her concerns with Adam about working at Newman Media together. She gently told him she believed his father, Victor, still controlled him. Adam feared that Chelsea was backing out of working with him. He insisted that Victor had no power over him. "I'm different," he said. Adam stated he followed his own opinion. He declared he'd prove that to her every day, but he couldn't do that if she weren't by her side.
Chelsea agreed to stay and work with Adam. "I have faith in us," she said. Chelsea threatened to walk if Adam turned Newman Media into a vendetta machine. Chelsea requested that Adam not let her down. Adam said this wasn't a promise he could keep. Adam asked Chelsea to dinner so they could celebrate. They kissed.
Later, Adam and Chelsea ran into Victor, who was at the bar at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Victor asked Chelsea for time alone with Adam. She excused herself to find their table. Adam suggested to Victor that they go with his plan and leave Billy alone. Victor stated that Billy was an incompetent businessman. He said that Adam should follow his plan. Victor added that if Chelsea has a problem with him, then Adam should smooth it out.
Victor wanted Adam's assurance that he'd follow through with Victor's plan. He wanted his son to prepare a story painting Billy in a bad light. "You got that?" Victor added. He hoped that Adam's plan to sell his apartment to Kyle and Claire had been canceled.
Adam joined Chelsea at their table. She was concerned that Adam had not changed Victor's mind about going after Billy. Victor interrupted Adam and Chelsea just as they were about to kiss. The mogul welcomed Chelsea to Newman Media. He said he was happy that she was a part of the family. Victor asked if a marriage announcement was forthcoming.
He asked the two to remember that work and family have things in common: unity, loyalty, and trust. "And integrity," Chelsea pointed out. The three toasted to Chelsea and Adam. Victor exited after the toast. Chelsea begged Adam to let her know she wasn't making a deal with the devil. Adam and Chelsea kissed.
Sally told Billy she was proud of him for no longer chasing Chancellor, but she was concerned about Dumas. Billy assured Sally that Dumas was a means to an end. He said he'd get to watch Victor freak out, which was enough for him. Sally felt that they had enough on their plate starting up Abbott Communications. Sally admitted that Jill should never doubt him. Billy agreed and said, "I'll drink to that." They were unaware that Phyllis was nearby, eavesdropping.
Phyllis interrupted Billy and Sally at Society to rehash Billy's decision to oust Phyllis from the team at Abbott Communications. Billy told Phyllis at Society that she was bitter and should leave Sally alone because she'd done nothing to Phyllis. "Oh, my gosh, such a mouthful," Phyllis said. She claimed to be glad she wasn't working with Billy. Phyllis announced she found a new co-worker: her son, Daniel. Billy was happy that Sally finally got the message.
Phyllis said everyone and their brother are starting up their own media company. She suggested that Sally try begging for her forgiveness. When Billy and Sally went to the counter to get a dessert that they'd ordered to go, they turned their backs on Phyllis; she put a napkin over Billy's phone, which he had left on the table.
Sally assured Phyllis that she didn't go after her job at Abbott Communications. Phyllis said that Sally went after Summer's job at Jabot Collective. Sally asked Phyllis not to threaten her. Phyllis pretended that she'd never done that. "You'll be sorry you messed with me or words to that effect," Sally responded to remind Phyllis that she had threatened her. Phyllis said that was just a throwaway comment and advised Sally to get a thicker skin. Sally wished Phyllis the best with Daniel and hoped she'd get what she wanted. Phyllis hoped Sally crashed and burned. Then, she stole Billy's phone from the table and walked off, telling Billy and Sally that it was fun running into them.
Alone, Phyllis sat on a bench and figured out the code to open up Billy's phone. She tried a couple of combinations and then she got in. The combination included numbers from the late Delia's birthday. Meanwhile, Sally told Billy that Phyllis was not harmless. Billy countered that Victor and his puppet son, Adam, were a bigger concern. She was ready for whatever Adam and Chelsea would throw at them. Sally said that she was ready to fight Victor and Adam. Billy said he liked the sound of that, and they kissed before leaving.
Phyllis scrolled through Billy's texts and made comments about them. Then, she saw a message between Billy and Aristotle Dumas. She copied information from Billy's phone to her own. She later returned to the restaurant and left Billy's phone on his table. Phyllis ducked into a restroom to avoid Billy being seen when he returned to retrieve his mobile device.
Billy found his phone and thanked the Society hostess as Phyllis spied on him. After Billy left, Phyllis went to the Genoa City Athletic Club and ran into Victor near the entrance. "Just the man I wanted to see," Phyllis said.
"I'll be damned," Victor responded. Phyllis invited Victor to have a drink with her. Victor asked why he would do that. "Because I have a proposition to run by you." Victor looked amused as he replied, "Really?"
