This week on The Young and the Restless, Amanda shot down Phyllis’ hopes of getting Dumas to invest in her new venture. Sally worried about what would happen if Phyllis wanted to return to Abbott Communications. Amanda claimed she’d urged Jill to give Billy a second chance. Billy and Sally sensed Amanda was hiding something. Damian suggested that he and Amy make a permanent home together in Genoa City. Devon found Damian’s change of heart suspicious. Abby confronted Amanda about Dumas’ true intentions. Devon ordered Amanda to set up a meeting between him and Dumas. Lily reconsidered having Damian serve as a double agent, but she maintained that she wanted him to work for Winters. Damian accepted Lily’s job offer. Cole emerged from quarantine but hid his ongoing fatigue. Victoria invited Cole to move into the tack house. Nick denied Sharon’s insinuation that he was headed toward a reunion with Phyllis. Jack and Diane decided to go on a European honeymoon. Claire asked Victor to help her plan a birthday party for Nikki. Kyle balked at Claire’s idea that he make a grand gesture at Nikki’s party to try to win Victor’s support. Kyle and Audra each plotted to outwit the other. Holden noticed the sparks fly between Kyle and Audra as they feigned playing nice with one another. Claire objected to Kyle trying to set Audra up. Kyle pondered whether he could be the man Claire wanted him to be or if he was as cutthroat as Victor. Victor sent Audra the first installment of funding for Vibrante. Nate demanded to know the real arrangement between Audra and Victor. During a romantic evening with Lauren, Michael agreed to her insistence that he stop working for Victor. Lauren warned Nikki about Michael’s intention to quit, and Nikki voiced concern that only Michael could stop Victor from attacking the Abbotts. Victor refused to accept Michael’s resignation, barking that family didn’t abandon family. Michael appealed to Victor to let him go and wish him well, but Victor remained silent. Later, a pained Victor told Nikki never to mention Michael’s name again. Lauren assured a rattled Michael that he wouldn’t regret his decision.
