On the Wednesday, November 26th episode of The Young and the Restless, Claire surprised Kyle with a kiss after Thanksgiving dinner, Victor continued lying to Nikki, and Cane was left with a major ultimatum by Lily and Phyllis.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Abby and Devon dropped by the Newman ranch, but Abby felt awful that she couldn't stay. However, after drinks with them, she had dinner with the Winters family and dessert at the Abbott mansion. There was a knock at the door, and this time it was Nate, hoping he wasn't too late for the festivities. Nikki and Victor shared an uneasy glance, with Nikki likely hoping her husband remained on his best behavior.
Nate regrets his previous conflict with the Newman family, so he arrived with gifts for Victor and Nikki as a peace offering. He brought Nikki's favorite tea and a tequila that gained Victor's approval. Victoria offered Nate a special bourbon for the holiday, and they toasted to "gratitude." They both claimed they were handling things well for the holiday. Devon was surprised to see his cousin at the ranch, and everyone was more surprised when Victor requested that Nate join him for a private chat.
Nate apologized for his previous drama with Victor and confessed he was wrong to suggest that Victor be committed to a psychiatric facility. Victor had a confession of his own. He had observed Nate over the last several months and noticed a return to form for the former surgeon. Victor was deeply appreciative of Nate's compassion towards Victoria following Cole's death, and the two men exchanged well-wishes for the holiday.
Victor promised never to take his family for granted, and he was proud of the life and family he and Nikki had created. He wanted his family to recognize the struggles other families endured, even though they were the lucky ones. Nikki gave a toast to the family members who couldn't make it to the celebration, like Nick and his adult children, Summer and Noah. Nate kissed Victoria on the cheek before he left, signaling a potential new future between the former lovers. Victoria hugged Victor and expressed gratitude that he put his differences with Nate aside for her sake.
Nikki and Victoria couldn't shake the feeling that Nick was hiding something about what was unfolding in Los Angeles. Nikki asked Victor if he was keeping an update from her, and although he denied it, she appeared to see through it.
Lily and Amy stopped by Crimson Lights to help Esther with what she needed. Esther realized it might have been a difficult holiday since it was Amy's first without Damien. However, it had been years since Amy and her son had spent Thanksgiving together due to their estrangement. Cane arrived in the middle of the ladies putting everything together, and Amy seemed conflicted about seeing him following their previous run-in.
Lily asked Cane why he was at the coffee shop, and he replied, "It's good to see you, too." He forgot about the annual tradition of serving Thanksgiving to the homeless, and he appreciated that Esther and Sharon kept up the longstanding community service. Cane recognized that Amy likely didn't want to see him on the holiday, but she admitted that icing him out wouldn't change anything about her son's death. She understood that he was isolated from his family, and she asked him to join. Lily told Cane that if he planned on sticking around, he should at least put himself to work and help them with their tasks.
Cane asked Lily to walk him through how to help serve the food, and as tough as she tried to seem, it felt as if her wall was slowly coming down. He hoped this made him seem more human again to his ex-wife, but any headway they were making was immediately doused by the arrival of Phyllis. Esther tried to ward her off and let her know the restaurant wasn't open for business, but Phyllis explained she was there to volunteer with the event. Lily snarked, "Oh, did your family not tell you where Thanksgiving was this year? Is that what happened?"
Lily handed Phyllis her apron, and she took off to give herself a break from the annoyance of Cane and Phyllis. Esther remarked about Phyllis's remarkable ability to clear a room. Phyllis was shocked to see Cane at Crimson Lights since he hadn't mentioned it. However, she didn't buy any of the stories he tried to sell. She saw through the facade and knew he was only there to impress Lily. Phyllis thought that Cane was in denial because, despite his assertion that he had moved on, he very much became a puppy dog in front of Lily. She asked him not to deny his feelings.
Phyllis believed that she had proven to Cane that she had moved on from Danny, so it was his turn to do the same with Lily. She wasn't jealous, but she wanted him to move past this. Phyllis called Lily a trap, and she needed Cane to realize it for what it was. Lily returned in the midst of their conversation, and she told Cane to pick a side between Phyllis and everyone else, and left for the Winters' dinner with Amy. However, Phyllis also took off, leaving Cane by himself with a monumental choice on his shoulders.
Cane followed Phyllis back to the GCAC. She demanded that he listen to Lily and pick a side between the two women. There wasn't room for both of them, and she refused to do the back and forth with him any longer.
Harrison begged Claire to stick around for the Abbott family dinner, but before she could respond, Jack returned with Ashley, who flew into town for the holiday. Billy touted Abbott Communications' upcoming success and gave all the credit to Sally. Jack was pleased to see Claire at the house, and with Harrison's pleading, Jack encouraged Claire to stick around for the duration of the family celebration. Harrison successfully convinced Claire to stay a bit longer, and he was happy to spend any extra time he could with her.
Kyle thanked Claire for making Harrison's entire holiday, which she was more than happy to do. Ashley's siblings surrounded her and asked if it was too soon for her to celebrate anything after the trauma Martin had inflicted on her. Jack gave her an out if she was overwhelmed, but Ashley refused to retreat to her bedroom. She had no plans on walking away from the holiday after flying all the way there. Ashley believed Traci was sweet for thinking of her, too, after she, too, went through a horrific experience with Monster Martin.
Ashley expressed her gratitude to her family and thanked them for everything they've done for her. She lamented the loss of Chance, but that was only one piece of the many traumatic events they faced over the last year. However, she would always find Genoa City, and more effectively, the Abbott family, as home. Diane spoke next, and she owned her part in making it difficult to become a true member of the family. She thanked everyone at the table for finally accepting her as a legitimate member of the family and for showing her love and compassion.
Billy was next in line and gave a special shout to their late father for what he instilled in them about family. He was appreciative of his siblings because, despite all of the drama between them, they had always been there for him and gotten him through the most difficult challenges. Billy expressed how much Sally meant to him and how her being by his side changed him for the better. Sally was in awe of the warmth and safety the Abbots demonstrated. She was beyond appreciative to have a Thanksgiving to remember.
Traci's speech was classic Traci, and she continued to serve as the anchor to her family. Kyle went next, and he acknowledged the struggles he and his parents had throughout the year, and was pleased they had moved past them. He spoke to Claire next and admitted his role in the distance between them. Claire was thankful for her family and for the Abbotts, who had continuously made her feel special, like one of their own.
Claire had to head to the Newman ranch for their family dinner, and Kyle walked her out. While they stood outside, he thanked her for making the effort to stay and for how much it meant to him and his son. Claire rubbed Kyle on the shoulder, and she leaned in for a kiss, something the two had not shared in quite some time.
