The Young and the Restless Recap, September 15-19, 2025: Cane shuts Billy out, Sally turns to Jack for help, and Lauren becomes suspicious

This week on The Young and the Restless, Cane instructed Amanda to use Lily’s sympathy to forge a friendship with her. Lily sensed that Amanda missed Devon. Michael informed a skeptical Phyllis that he planned to keep his new employment with Cane from Lauren. When Billy remained determined to get Chancellor back by any means possible, Sally walked out on him. Billy asked Cane to confirm in writing that Billy would get Chancellor. After learning Sally was no longer part of Abbott Communications, Adam and Chelsea argued about Billy. Sally turned to Jack and Diane for help trying to pull Billy back from a dark place, and she divulged that Cane was plotting to use Billy to illegally unleash dangerous AI software on his targets. Jack maintained that Billy was on his own, but Diane convinced him to reach out to his brother. Jack enlisted Victoria’s help to talk sense into Billy. Despite Jack and Victoria’s pleas, Billy became increasingly obsessed with taking Chancellor from Victor. Realizing Billy was too much of a wild card, Cane cut him loose and decided to revert to his original plan. Michael and Phyllis demanded to know exactly what roles they’d be playing in Cane’s scheme. Billy was incensed when he interrupted a meeting on Cane’s train and discovered that Phyllis was still part of Cane’s team. Christine struggled to choose between the three wedding gowns Lauren had found for her. When Michael became secretive about his calls and text messages, Lauren worried that he had returned to work with Victor. Nate and Kyle discussed their mutual distrust of Holden. Victoria urged Claire to give Kyle some grace unless he’d irreparably broken her trust. Kyle begged Claire to start over and proposed that they take a trip to Paris to honor her father, but she declined. Mariah requested that Daniel look out for Tessa and Aria while Mariah went away to get help. A torn Daniel opened up to Danny, who surmised that his son was conflicted because of his growing feelings for Tessa. Daniel pledged not to do anything that would cause even more problems for Mariah and Tessa.
