In The Young and the Restless' Genoa City, we're so used to watching characters backstab, blackmail, and wage war against each other that it's refreshing to get occasional breaks where two friends meet for dinner, drinks, or a chat in the park. Fans appreciate seeing characters who support each other, lift each other up, and genuinely care about each other's welfare. Here are three current Y&R friendships we've enjoyed watching:

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) can relate to each other, because they both have checkered pasts on The Young and the Restless. Sally originated from Los Angeles, and during her time on The Bold and the Beautiful, she burned a lot of bridges. Even after she moved to Genoa City on Y&R, she was the bad girl who caused trouble by conspiring with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) to get Summer Newman (then-Hunter King) to move to Milan in an attempt to break up Summer and Kyle (Michael Mealor). But Sally has grown tremendously over the past couple years, and thankfully, she isn't plotting anyone's downfall or scheming to break up couples anymore.

It feels like she relates to Audra, because Audra has been involved in schemes herself. Sally knows from experience that bad girls may not have many friends to confide in. So that seems to be the glue that holds their friendship together and makes it special. Sally and Audra have both done awful things, but they've both demonstrated growth on The Young and Restless.

Audra felt comfortable telling Sally about the deal she made with Victor (Eric Braeden) for him to fund her company Vibrante if she seduced Kyle away from Claire (Hayley Erin). Audra knows Sally always listens and doesn't judge her. Even though Sally encourages Audra to do the right thing, she never criticizes her when she does something wrong — and we know Audra loves her for that.

Daniel and Tessa's friendship

Daniel (Michael Graziadei) has felt like he just can't get his life together ever since his girlfriend Heather (Vail Bloom) was murdered in 2024. He can't figure out what career to pursue. For a long time after Heather died, the only real friends he seemed to have on The Young and the Restless were his mother Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), his father Danny (Michael Damian), his sister Summer (then-Allison Lanier), and his daughter Lucy (Lily Brooks O'Briant). His family was essentially the only people he confided in, until he made a connection with Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) at Society.

Tessa's been going through a lot of heartbreak herself since her relationship with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has been strained. Mariah has been pulling away from her for months. No matter how hard Tessa has reached out to her with love and understanding, Mariah has kept the reason for her distance a secret.

A frustrated Tessa has found some relief by teaching Daniel to play guitar. It's helping to take her mind off her troubles with Mariah, and she loves that she's found a new friend in Daniel. Now that Daniel is starting to develop romantic feelings for Tessa, will we see a triangle between Tessa, Mariah, and Daniel?

Holden and Claire's friendship

Holden (Nathan Owens) and Claire met by chance at a bar one day when Holden introduced her to the Vesper cocktail (the James Bond martini). Since then, he's been a caring friend to her and consoled her during her grief after she lost her father, Cole (J. Eddie Peck), to Legionnaire's Disease. Holden also lost someone he cared about recently: his friend Damian (Jermaine Rivers), who was killed during the trip to Nice, France, by Cane Ashby's assistant, Carter (Vincent Stalba).

Claire has also leaned on Holden after witnessing Audra kiss Kyle. Claire isn't sure whether she can trust Kyle completely. She feels comfortable knowing she has Holden to confide in. When she eventually learns about the passionate kisses Kyle shared with Audra in Nice, will she turn to Holden for more than just friendly support?
