The Young and the Restless writers are serving up a tantalizing mystery for us in the L.A. storyline. Sienna Bacall is everything we need. She's a bit hard-edged with a gritty charm; she's mysterious, and even her name has a mysterious ring to it. And now, The Great Victor Newman (TGVN) himself is wondering just who the heck this lady is.
Now that he asked Michael to dig into Sienna's background, what incriminating information might our favorite Y&R lawyer discover about her?
This week on The Young and the Restless

On Thursday's episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor (Eric Braeden) asked Michael (Christian LeBlanc) to investigate Sienna's (Tamara Braun) background, telling Michael the name of the nightclub she runs. "The Shadow Room" definitely sounds like the name of a place that's hiding something. What happened there on the night of Noah's (Lucas Adams) car crash? Victor is trying to find out whatever he can about Sienna and her club.
What damaging information could Michael discover? He's likely going to learn that Sienna is married to a man named Mitch. But what's the deal with this Mitch character, who has remained obscure ever since Sienna was first introduced to the Y&R canvas a couple of weeks ago? Is he involved in shady dealings that his wife isn't aware of? Is there a secret room in the club that houses prostitutes? Or maybe a room where illegal gambling takes place?
And what was up with that detective a couple of weeks ago? Who did he call? We have yet to learn. We know the detective is crooked, though, considering he told the person he spoke to that he thinks Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) "bought" the story he told them regarding the car crash. All this deception and mystery tells us one thing: Michael has his work cut out for him.
Nick has been playing detective with Sienna

Since Michael is famous for throwing himself into his work, maybe he needs to be the next character who flies to L.A. He can partner up with Nick. He may be able to pick up on clues that Nick and the Y&R viewers are missing. Since Michael is retired, he has plenty of time to devote to the car crash mystery.
Speaking of Nick, it's been fun seeing him in private-eye mode. Joshua Morrow, his portrayer, looks like he's enjoying this change of pace from the usual storylines of rival businesses. Maybe Nick should step away from Newman Enterprises for a while and become GC's next private investigator, now that Chance (Conner Floyd) was unfortunately killed. Nick made Sienna nervous as he fired off question after question, even asking permission to question her wait staff. He wondered what after-hours clubs they frequent, thinking those hotspots might be connected to the crash in some way.
So maybe Michael should get in on all this L.A. action. Lauren wouldn't be happy about it, but she can afford to be apart from him for a week or so. She's busy preparing for Christine's (Lauralee Bell) and Danny's (Michael Damian) wedding.
What if the Bacalls have ties to the mob?

We know big, bad Victor has gone up against all kinds of business rivals and murderous psychopaths over the years, but what if Michael discovers that Sienna and Mitch have mob ties? Or what if Mitch has mob ties, and Sienna is in the dark about it? Could the person responsible for Noah's crash be one of Mitch's enforcers?
With all the unanswered questions and suspicious characters we've met in this storyline so far, it feels like The Young and the Restless writers are preparing us for anything. It seems unbelievable that a nice guy like Noah could have done something to incur a mobster's wrath. But if that turns out to be the case, then Nick and Victor had better roll up their sleeves and get ready for what could be the biggest fight of their lives.
