What secret are Audra and Holden keeping on The Young and the Restless?

On the last few episodes of The Young and the Restless, we've been hearing an awful lot about a past misdeed (or misdeeds?) Audra (Zuleyka Silver) committed when she lived in L.A. Last week, Claire (Hayley Erin) repeatedly asked Holden (Nathan Owens) to tell her the whole story, since he was involved with Audra back then. But he wouldn't say a word. This week, Audra and Holden spoke privately about it without mentioning any specifics. The writers are really amping up the suspense, and we just can't help wondering, what in the world did Audra do?

What happened last week on The Young and the Restless

Last week on The Young and the Restless, Audra had an argument with Kyle (Michael Mealor) in the park that ended with him threatening to run her out of town if she didn't stay away from him and Claire. Then, Audra went to Society and exchanged fiery words with Claire. Thankfully, Holden was there to stop the feuding women from engaging in a brawl.

But when Claire asked Holden more than once to tell her what happened in L.A., she couldn't drag it out of him, which tells us it must be bad. Based on his conversation with Audra in yesterday's episode, we now have a better idea why he kept his mouth shut -- even though we still don't know the facts.

Holden is covering for Audra — but why?

On Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless, it seemed like everyone's goal was to get rid of Audra. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) met with Victor (Eric Braeden) in his office and said Audra needs to go away, after all the trouble she's caused Kyle and Claire. She asked him what they were going to do about her. Victor simply replied, "Show her the door."

At Society, Audra ran into Holden, and the two exchanged cryptic words about L.A. The tone of their talk felt ominous as he reminded her that he knew what she did, and he "cleaned it up." He added, "I think Claire, Kyle, and your new boss would love to know what happened in Los Angeles." Finally, he warned Audra to leave Kyle and Claire alone, or he might do something he might regret. Are the writers dropping us clues about Audra's fate?

We've been hearing about this shady past between Holden and Audra off and on ever since he came to Genoa City in January 2025. The writers have piqued our curiosity by dropping breadcrumbs here and there for us to mull over. Did she kill someone? Did he bury the body and cover up the crime? Was she working as a high-priced prostitute? Our imaginations are running wild with possibilities.

What if Victor finds out and uses the information to force Audra out of Genoa City?

It feels like Victor is going to be the first person to discover what Audra did, and he will most likely use the damaging information to try to run her out of town. Since we know the way he operates, he will probably offer her five or ten million dollars to leave Genoa City, or else he will go to the police and expose her dirty secret. After all, she is making life miserable for his granddaughter Claire, and his number one priority is to protect his family.

It would be interesting if it turns out Victor already knows what Audra did and he's been keeping quiet about it, for some reason. He seems to have spies everywhere who he pays to find out all kinds of private information for him.

It would be even more interesting if it turns out that the big secret actually involves Victor somehow. Or could it possibly be linked to Cane (Billy Flynn)? Hopefully, we will get some answers to these never-ending questions soon.
