The Young and the Restless' Ashley Abbott won't just be on-screen today and Monday, April 1. Portrayer Eileen Davidson reveals she'll also be bringing her popular alter ego back for the upcoming tribute to Kristoff St. John (ex-Neil Winters).
The actress, who departed Y&R last October and returned to the screen today, shares that what was supposed to be a two-day visit was extended after St. John passed away in February.
"When I was initially contacted by Y&R, it was only supposed to be for a quick visit, but after Kristoff St. John's passing, the show asked if I would participate in their plans to honor both Neil and Kristoff," she tells Soap Opera Digest. "Luckily, I was available, and I am honored to be included in those shows."
As Soap Central previously reported, Y&R is dedicating a week of storyline to St. John beginning Tuesday, April 23. The soap is also airing a non-scripted tribute episode, scheduled for Monday, April 29, in which the stars of the show will share their memories of their departed cast member and friend.
In addition to Davidson, viewers can look forward to returns by Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters), Victoria Rowell (Drucilla Winters), Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis), and Christel Khalil (Lily Winters). Unfortunately, a scheduling conflict prevented Tonya Lee Williams (ex-Olivia Barber) from being able to take part in the soap's tribute to St. John.
