The Young and the Restless' Chance Chancellor is off on a mission that took him and his portrayer, Donny Boaz, out of Genoa City. But that doesn't mean that fans can't see Boaz in action. The actor is thrilled to share that he has booked a role on the primetime show All American.
In a post made to his Instagram account, Boaz writes, "It's a Beautiful Sun Shiny Day in California. Happy to say I booked a few episodes on the hit #CW show 'All American.' Not to be confused with the greatest football movie of the last decade, 'My All American.' #Shameless #promotion"
The actor also enthuses to his sister via the post that "Yes... Taye Diggs is just as handsome in person," as well as shares that he had the opportunity to work with actress Dina Meyer, who he's had a crush on since seeing her in Starship Troopers.
All American is inspired by the life of pro football player Spencer Paysinger and follows the wins, losses, and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds after a rising high school American football player from South L.A. is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High.
There's no word yet about who Boaz will be playing on the series, so keep checking back to Soap Central for updates when they come.
Boaz joined Y&R in 2019 but was let go from the CBS soap opera in January of this year. Some of his other credits include Graceland, Dallas, Six, NCIS: New Orleans, and P-Valley.
