Brooke moves up the wedding from 2pm to 1pm and neglects to tell Taylor and Thorne. Taylor and Thorne rush toward Brooke's house to stop the wedding, but early labor stops them only blocks away. Thorne delivers her baby boy. The wedding takes place and the new Forresters leave for a honeymoon in Italy. Dr. Martin Gutherie introduces himself to James and begins to talk about Sheila. Unknown to James, who offers him a scotch, Martin is an alcoholic. He gets drunk and is about to spill the beans when Mike and Maggie arrive and rush him out of the bar.

Eric and Lauren, separately, begin showing signs of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. Maggie continues wearing away at James' resistance. James finally says he will give Sheila one more day to call and if she doesn't, he will move with the baby back to her house. Taylor worries about who to list as her baby's father on the birth certificate. In the shower, Mike is suddenly attacked by a "knife" wielded by an old woman---it is Marty dressed in a Ma Bates costume. Sheila finally breaks free, but she is being chased by Mike and Maggie---and she doesn't know where she is.

Thorne calls Brooke and tells her that Taylor had a baby boy. Suddenly, Brooke "miscarries." Taylor names the baby Thomas Hamilton Forrester, but does not list a father's name on the BC. Thorne has a fit! Lauren comes face to face with "Rush," who tries to convince her that he is Johnny, Rushes twin brother. Amber makes moves on Rick. Maggie talks James into going to Scotland tonight. After agreeing, James goes to Mannequins where he sees Marty. He follows him to see if he can find Sheila. Ridge comes face to face with Taylor's baby.

After "coming on" to Rick, Amber waits at Insomnia until he finally comes through for her---she gets a live-in offer from the Forresters. Much to Brooke's dismay, Taylor stops by with her son and gives him to Ridge to hold. Brooke and Taylor both notice an instant bond form. Brooke later considers telling Ridge the truth about Thomas. Lauren and Eric set a trap for "Rush," but are surprised at the outcome: Johnny is telling the truth; he is Rush's twin brother. James rescues Sheila from the Psycho mansion and brings her home much to Maggie's astonishment. Later, Maggie is dragged away in handcuffs by the police, screaming, "Please James, don't let them do this to me!"

After talking Sheila into dropping the charges against Maggie, James told Maggie that he intends to stay married to Sheila. Maggie asked Stephanie and Lauren to join her in bringing down Sheila. Ridge and Brooke start "work" on another baby. Ridge still has questions about Taylor and Thorne; he goes to Thorne and demands answers. Amber steals Brooke's tennis bracelet and hocks it for $6,000. When Brooke misses the bracelet, she admits to Rick that she pawned it. She and Rick approach the pawnshop owner and buy back the bracelet.

Rick manages to get his mother's bracelet back in the safe before Brooke checks it again. Finding the bracelet, she goes to Amber and apologizes for thinking she stole it. Macy proposes to Grant. Maggie begins her probe into Sheila's past; she begins with Maureen, the widow of Sheila's psychiatrist. Brooke admits to he family that she lost the baby, but Stephanie doesn't believe there ever was a baby. Ridge asks her to leave his home. The next day, he issues her an ultimatum: learn to live with Brooke or learn to live without me in your life.

After visiting Eric, she visits the long-time nanny who disappeared so suddenly. Stephanie and Ridge have a confrontation about Brooke. Stephanie appeals to Thorne to tell her what secret he shares with Brooke. Rush leaves the tundra and stows away on a freighter bound for the USA. Johnny and Lauren have a romantic evening. At the end of a romantic night with Ridge, Taylor and Thomas show up on their doorstep.

After apparently killing Amur, Rush stows away on a freighter bound for the USA. Ridge gives Brooke a romantic evening which is interrupted by Taylor's arrival. Taylor lies to Brooke about telling Ridge about Thomas. Taylor tells Thorne that she is telling Ridge about the baby as soon as possible. After Thorne leaves in a huff, Stephanie comes over and Taylor tells her about Thomas' parentage. James tries to reach Maggie, but he isn't offering what she wants. Maggie goes ahead with her plan to bring Sheila down. Thanks to the construction man, Maggie, Lauren, and Judy are able to "haunt" Sheila while she is alone in her home. Thorne turns to Macy for comfort.

Taylor finally told Ridge that Thomas is his son. Stephanie tells Brooke that her game is over. Brooke rushes to Ridge's office and finds Taylor and Thomas in Ridge's arms. Ridge blasts both Brooke and Taylor for lying to him. Rush lands in the USA and is on a plane headed for LA; upon arriving in LA, he immediately finds where Lauren lives. Maggie gloats that her plan is working to put Sheila back into a mental institution. Stephanie goes to Big Bear where Ridge has hidden out; she pleads Taylor's case, but Brooke finds out where Ridge is and is on her way.

At Big Bear, Ridge contemplates his dilemma. Stephanie surmises where he has disappeared to and goes to Big Bear. She defends Taylor's actions. Later, Brooke also goes to Big Bear and asks Ridge for forgiveness. Ridge asked if she had lied about the pregnancy and miscarriage. Following Brooke's visit, Taylor drove to Big Bear and attempted to explain all her actions during her pregnancy. In the end, Ridge still needed more time. Johnny has a romantic evening with Lauren to which Rush witnesses from his perch on the balcony. He follows Johnny home and there is a confrontation. Overhearing Macy make a reservation for John Quincy, a record producer, Rick made arrangements for Amber to sing.

Ridge arrives at Taylor's and proceeds to bond with Thomas. Amber gives a performance at Insomnia accompanied by Rick and CJ in front of a celebrity. Grant and Macy grow closer and this prompts Macy to throw away Thorne's new telephone number. CJ challenges Rick to a drag race. When Rick hesitates, Amber spurs him on to accept. With Amber riding in the car with him, Rick crashes. He is rushed to the hospital in critical condition and readied for surgery.

After he ties up Johnny and shaves his beard, Rush leaves for a date with Lauren. He pleads for her to run away with him, but before she can answer, Macy and Grant arrive. Grant and Macy announce their engagement and suggest they jump into the hot tub. Rush can't join them because of his scar. Ridge blasted Thorne for trying to steal his son. Thorne announces that he is leaving the company and the family. There is a frantic effort to find a compatible kidney donor among the family, but when that doesn't work, Amber insists that they use hers.

When Taylor and Ridge call to tell Stephanie that they will be married tonight, Stephanie puts it on the speakerphone so Brooke can hear the announcement and excitement in Ridge's voice. Eric and Brooke invite Amber over to discuss her options. Amber gets her hopes up but all they can suggest is adoption. Later, Rick proposes to Amber. Pierce tells Taylor that she is acting the way she is because he hypnotized her. When he hypnotizes her again to remove the "16-year-old" suggestion, he also plants another suggestion. When Taylor tells Ridge that Pierce hypnotized her, he goes to see Pierce and tells him that his wife is off the project as of now!

Rick proposes and Amber accepts. CJ blasts Amber for not telling Rick that Raymond could be the baby's father. Ridge goes to Pierce Peterson and tells him that Taylor is quitting her job. Amber is worried that she will lose the baby; the family has mixed feelings as they rally around her. James receives a letter from Sheila. Ridge and Bailey have a dramatic confrontation. Thorne tells his parents that he is going to work to help Sally save her business. Amber buys two identical Celtic wedding bands and gives one to Rick. Jack Abbot arrives in town to meet with Brooke and the Forresters. Pierce has a party to celebrate the video he made with Taylor and gives her a special gift. Stephanie is disturbed by Pierce and Taylor's closeness. Taylor is disappointed by Ridge again.

Taylor sprains her ankle at the party and decides to stay at Pierce's, but Ridge shows up and a fight ensues. Lauren fills Brooke in on Pierce's party and Brooke is pleased by the turn of events. Myles warns Kimberly to stay away from Rick. Kimberly questions whether or not Amber will be a good wife and mother.
