Days of our Lives dropped another puzzling casting hint featuring photos of veteran actress Serena Scott Thomas at the studio stage door. The Instagram caption read: "@sscottthomas is coming to Salem! Any guesses who her character might be?!"
The guesses started pouring in immediately, with most fans believing her character will have something to do with Konstantin's story, enveloping the Xander paternity plot. Some think she could be Konstantin's allegedly dead daughter, Catharina, or she could be his curiously missing ex-wife.
John and Steve have been searching for Konstantin's wife recently and feel like she vanished into thin air. They can't find a lead anywhere. With all the talk of this puzzling woman, it stands to reason she will make her first Salem appearance soon.
Some theorize that she might even turn out to be Xander's mother. It would certainly explain Konstantin's hatred toward Victor if we learned it wasn't a business deal that soured their relationship. Perhaps Victor had an affair with Konstantin's wife, which resulted in Xander's birth. Konstantin would feel wholly justified in playing God with Xander's life and inheritance if this is true.
Some popular DAYS stars welcomed Scott Thomas in replies to the show's Instagram post, including Eric Martsolf, Mary Beth Evans, and Linsey Godfrey.
Scott Thomas is a British actress who has made a name for herself with royal family portrayals. In 1993, she brought Princess Diana to life in the TV mini-series Diana: Her True Story. In 2011, she played a royal-adjacent woman when she took on the role of Kate Middleton's mother, Carole Middleton, in William and Kate: The Movie. Other credits include small roles on NCIS and Nip/Tuck, as well as several film appearances in movies like Brothel, Inherent Vice, and Rolling Thunder.
There is no word yet on when Scott Thomas will make her DAYS debut.
