At Towers Beth finds Jeffrey O'Neill is human after all - he has feelings for one woman - Marah Lewis. When Marah calls, fearful she's being stalked, Beth urges her former lover to go to her. After he leaves, Alexandra tries to persuade Beth to help her get rid of Olivia. Beth is reluctant but agrees to go with Alex to question Phillip about his motives for getting married.
At Ravenwood, Phillip is hesitant to sign the document placed in front of him, but Olivia persuades him to sign without legal counsel. When Beth and Alexandra arrive Olivia says Phillip doesn't want to see them and as his wife she has every right to keep them from going into his room. Beth is convinced Olivia is "dangerous."
At the museum, Jeffrey dresses Marah's cut from the razor blade in her doll and demands to know about her stalker. Marah explains the doll's mysterious appearance after all these years and mentions Michelle's accident. She thinks the two incidents are connected but has no proof. O'Neill suggests a private investigator. He promises he'll let nothing happen to her. She persuades him to stay for coffee. Alone, Jeffrey calls Carrie's machine, demanding that in order for their deal to stand, the three girls must remain unharmed. Otherwise "there will be Hell to pay."
Outside Company, Frank and Rick have a heart to heart. Rick is worried about Ed. Frank sympathizes - when Buzz returned to Springfield it took Frank some time to adjust to having his father back in his life. He suggests that's all Rick needs too.
At the hospital, Ed's bottle of pills is empty. He's surprised to find Mel in his exam room wanting a checkup for her queasiness. Ed refuses to help - there is a rule about treating family. Mel wants the best for her baby and insists her father-in-law humor her. Ed's vision blurs as he's about to take her blood. He can't do it. Mel notices his shaky hands, but he says it's the effects of a long day. He leaves the room and tells a nurse to page Mel's doctor and Rick - he's "off duty until further notice." Rick joins Mel who assures him they did the right thing - "We needed to know." Ed needs help and Mel thinks this way he will think that leaving the hospital was his own decision. But Rick knows his father better than she does.
Jealous of Cassie's relationship with Edmund, Tammy decides she needs a makeover in order to attract the right kind of guy. She wants magic, romance, Shakespeare... all that Joey lacks. Cassie admits the glamour is nice, but she's with Edmund because he's a good person, not because he's a former prince. She urges her daughter not to change - she will find her prince just the way she is. Lizzie enters still upset over her dad's marriage. Cassie sees how angry Lizzie becomes at the mention of Olivia's name. But Lizzie promises she won't act on her anger - she's dealing with it. Unconvinced, Cassie calls Olivia, finally understanding why she has kept her baby a secret. She warns Olivia to be careful.
Lizzie tells Tammy that she lied to Cassie - she hates Olivia and her family won't let her get away with marrying Phillip. Tammy is sick of hearing Lizzie's problems - she'd rather concentrate on her own - starting with a new wardrobe. Lizzie snarls that nothing ever happens to Tammy, but quickly takes it back, apologizing. Tammy admits she is right. In the hallway, an angry Lizzie tells Cassie that she thought she could count on her friends, but Tammy is too caught up in her own problems to care about hers. Cassie enters her hotel room to find Tammy ogling at herself in the mirror wearing one of her mom's sexy black dresses.
Tony is determined to find out who is after Danny. Danny asks Eden what Tony's not telling him. Bill interrupts before Eden has much chance to respond. Eden urges Bill not to lose his moral compass. Danny corners Eden in the elevator. Eden swears she and Tony are trying to help Danny. She tells Danny about the Shadow and his allegations against Bill. Edmund meets with a San Cristobel delivery room nurse, who reveals that she saw Cassie's baby alive. The nurse recalls that the doctor asked to be alone with the baby but then she clams up and hurries off. Olivia is worried that it might be too difficult for Cassie to be around Emma, but Cassie insists she's come to grips with her loss. That's not the impression Olivia got from Edmund. Cassie maintains that if Edmund is investigating the death of her child, it's not for her, it's for him. After, Cassie confronts Edmund about his investigation, demanding for him to stop it. Reva tries to reach Christopher. Marah speculates that Carrie lashed out at her. She hopes that Josh's opening up to Reva is a sign that he's ready to deal with his part in Maryanne's death. Shayne encourages Marah to make amends with Sandy. Reva is happy to have her children visit. Reva sees Marah's cut hand and asks her what happened. Reva says Christopher would like to run some tests to check her psychic ability. She surprises Sandy with a gift. He is impressed with how Reva decorated the guest room. Somebody follows Marah when she leaves the house. Reva flash cuts to an image of someone holding something that belongs to the family. Sandy pockets Jonathan's baby shoes.
Cassie realizes that Edmund wants to find out about the child she lost but she doesn't want him to. Cassie can't help but ask if Edmund learned anything about her baby. Edmund lies that he hasn't learned anything. Plagued by yet another migraine, Ed can't bring himself to take one of his pills in front of Michelle. A concerned Michelle wants Ed to work toward something loving and normal but when he suggests spending time with Robbie, she refuses. Michelle insists that Ed isn't himself; her concerns are genuine. Ed asks Michelle to leave. Michelle tells Cassie about a new designer drug going around. Marah finally sees Carrie for who she really is and orders her to get out. She accuses Carrie of hiding the razor blade in the rag doll. Carrie insists if she wanted to scare Marah, she wouldn't have had to do a thing. Reva tells Josh about Marah's mishap with the razor blade. Josh covers his panic. Marah opens the door and Shayne thrusts the doll in her face. He admits he is responsible for digging out the doll and bringing it to the museum but he assures her that he wouldn't have put the doll in a basket full of pins and scissors. Billy and Buzz worry about what might happen next to the girls. Josh calls a meeting of the circle. Billy thinks it's time to go back into the tunnels, but Ed and Alan refuse. Alan wants to speak with Buzz privately. Frank is looking for Josh because Josh called him to talk about police business. Frank thinks it's odd that Josh called the cops then cancelled. Billy worries that Ed won't be able to keep it together. Alan thinks that Buzz is the only one who will do what needs to be done.
Lizzie cannot believe Phillip would willingly marry Olivia. Phillip insists he married Olivia because he wanted to and sometimes, you just have to accept things. It's part of growing up. Lizzie reels over Phillip's response. Sandy stops Lizzie from ordering a vodka tonic. He tells her she needs to straighten up, and she's a bit taken aback by his sharp tone. Lizzie comments about Sandy's interest in her. Jeffrey tells Gus that he wants to know exactly what happens at the Spaulding board meeting. Alan shows Alexandra a forged letter from Phillip, declaring himself well. Beth can't resist tweaking Jeffrey about Marah. Alexandra worries about Gus attending the board meeting. Danny and Tony confront Jeffrey about being the Shadow. He neither confirms nor denies Danny and Tony's allegation. Tony says the next time Jeffrey needs to send a message he should leave Eden out of the mix. Jeffrey asks why two crime families have decided to wage war in Springfield. He brings up the new street drug "D" and for all he knows somebody could be making the stuff right here in Springfield. Gus manages to inquire about Antimonious, although Alexandra turns the discussion to the Bad Girl campaign. Gus sides with Alexandra against Brad. He turns the discussion back to Antimonious and questions a fax he found in Brad's office. Later, Brad asks what Gus was doing snooping in his office. Alexandra makes it clear that Brad needs to lay off Gus. Alan and Alexandra prepare to badly lie about Phillip to the board. Alan proposes that Gus stand in for Phillip on the board but Olivia declares that won't be necessary. She's taking Phillip's seat.
Olivia has every intention of taking Phillip's place on the board. She uses Alan's memo to her advantage and says that Phillip is obviously lucid enough to make his own decisions. Alan has no choice but to give Olivia Phillip's seat on the board. Olivia informs Alan and Alexandra that Phillip has left instructions that Alan and Alexandra not disturb him. She questions Gus's agenda. After, Olivia vows that one day, Spaulding Enterprises will be all hers. Gus tells Harley about the board meeting. Harley leaves a voicemail for Brad, asking him to meet her later. Reva and Cassie arrive for Cassie and Marah's psych tests, and are surprised to find Jeffrey with Christopher. Jeffrey explains to Cassie and Reva that Christopher invited him to be an observer. The tests begin and Cassie's certain that she has zero psychic ability. Marah tells Jeffrey she tried to clear her mind but something kept getting in the way. Buzz leaves Billy and Josh for poker night. Marina lies to Shayne about her meeting with Carrie. She moves down the dark, eerie tunnel, on her way to Carrie's room. Marina hears a rumble in the walls; as she looks around, dust and dirt fall from above. Josh is upset to find Buzz packing a gun. Assuming the gun was Alan's idea, Josh reminds Buzz that Alan got them into this mess. Reva has a vision about the tunnel collapsing and somebody dying. Marina realizes that Carrie wants her to get lost. The men hear the rumble as the walls buckle and the passage collapses on Marina. Carrie calls Marah to the meeting. Jeffrey still wants Christopher to deliver Reva. Reva worries about her visions. Not realizing that Marina is trapped, the men want to get out of there before the tunnel collapses on them.
