This year's Daytime Emmys ceremony will be held on June 19. It has not yet been announced if the show will be broadcast on television.

The Emmy process seems to get more layered every year. Though unofficial, this year TVGuide Canada has revealed the list of pre-pre-nominees for the Daytime Emmys. These are the actors who have thrown their hats into the ring for this year's Emmy race. While the Emmy nominating process seems convoluted to most soap fans, there is a format that is followed every year. All soaps nominate performers they feel are deserving of nominations in each of the acting categories. This is typically done through an in-house voting system at each soap. However, that does not exclude individual actors on each show from submitting their names if they are not voted in during the in-house voting. All of those names are entered into a general voting process. Eligible NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) voters then cast votes for who they think were the best actors and actresses in the Lead, Supporting, and Younger categories. The top vote getters are then announced as the official pre-nominees. At that time, pre-nominees must select a "reel," a single episode that they feel portrays their best work, that will be viewed by a panel of Emmy voters. The official pre-nominations list will be revealed on February 25.
