After being away for an extended period of time, Cassandra Foster, the adopted daughter of Angie Hubbard, will be returning to Pine Valley.
America's Next Top Model winner Sal Stowers -- who Top Model fans will remember as Saleisha -- will take over as Cassandra when All My Children returns this spring. It will mark the first soap opera role for Stowers, who rose to fame on the Tyra Banks modeling competition in 2007.
While Stowers may be best known for reality television, the model-turned-actress does have experience with scripted television. She's appeared on New Girl, Mr. Box Office, and as a model on both The Exes and Ugly Betty.
Stowers isn't the only Top Model alum to have appeared on All My Children -- or as Cassandra. Yaya DaCosta, the runner-up in the third cycle of America's Next Top Model, originated the role of Cassandra in April 2008. After only a few months, Cassandra was ushered out in August of the same year.
Cassandra was first introduced on the ABC soap, The City, in 1997. Angie discovered Cassandra as an infant after the child had been abandoned in a garbage dumpster in the SoHo district of New York City. Angie and her then-husband Jacob Foster adopted Cassandra. After her parents divorced, Cassandra relocated to Paris with Jacob.
Cassandra traveled to Pine Valley in 2008 to reunite with her mother and new stepfather, Jesse, who had been believed to be dead for nearly two decades. After a brief stay in the States, Cassandra left Pine Valley to go to Paris, where Jacob was set to undergo surgery.
