If there's anything that can be said for The Bold and the Beautiful's Brooke Logan, it's that she's persistent. Perhaps even a little too persistent. Sometimes you gotta know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em, but Brooke? Nope, she doesn't know.
Why give up on a good thing?

Two years ago, we had our miracle upon miracles. Not only were Taylor Hayes and Brooke Logan getting along, but they were also BFFs. They had girls' nights. They cried on one another's shoulders. They laughed. And they especially laughed at Ridge, which is how it should have remained. No offense to Ridge, but the ladies had some really good points about him. Yes, they could go on loving him, but as a man from their past.
Alas, it didn't last because we apparently can't have nice things. How lovely would it have been if both Brooke and Taylor had found new men over the last two years, like their daughters, Hope and Steffy, have. Yes, they still love Liam (especially now that he is dying), but they have moved on and realize their lives are better spent with men who treat them well. (Well, the jury is still out on Carter.)
Instead, we have Brooke and Taylor still taking swipes at one another. We half expected a catfight to ensue in the design office this week, but the women were remarkably civil with one another, even if they both looked as if they were shooting daggers with their eyes.
Their little chat came not long after Brooke debased and humiliated herself again by telling Ridge they belong together and begging him to come home. He once again refused, but Brooke won't let that get her down. In some circumstances, that can be a virtue, but when you've been doing this literally your entire adult life with the same man, you become pathetic.
Brooke was literally a college student when she first set eyes on Ridge and determined he was her destiny. Now, she is a grandmother multiple times over, and she is still stripping down to her underwear in business offices to impress him. Brooke is also a brilliant chemist who created a multi-million dollar wrinkle-free fabric. Yet, she is still losing her mind over a playboy fashion designer who will turn to another woman 30 seconds after a misunderstanding, over and over and over again. How many times can Brooke put herself through this? For that matter, how many times can Taylor put herself through this?
A word about Taylor

Oh, you're so confident, Taylor, are you? Well, that's what you say. But if you were really so confident, why was it so necessary to make it a point of visiting Brooke just to have a passively aggressive, snarky conversation on how confident you are that Ridge loves you and only you?
Then, Taylor just had to tell Ridge how confident she was in his love for her. A woman that confident doesn't have to announce it, so she might be just as pathetic as Brooke. The world-renowned psychiatrist who's been presumed dead multiple times, nearly just died cause Ridge literally broke her heart. Both of these women need to take a good, hard look in the mirror — and a good hard look at Ridge. Is he worth it, ladies? Is a man who spends 40 years bouncing back and forth between the same two women really worth it? Welp, nobody thinks so besides good ol' Brooke and Taylor.
At least Ridge is trying

To his credit, Ridge is really giving it the old college try with Taylor this time. He knows he made a rash decision jumping into bed with her the second he wrongly thought Brooke had betrayed him (again), but he is not about to hurt Taylor. He also definitely loves both of these women in his own way. But maybe at this point, Ridge should realize the way to stop hurting his two baby mamas is to let them go. Let them live their golden years free of your indecisiveness, Ridge. They deserve it. You deserve it. And we deserve it. (We also know it's never, ever going to happen, but we can dream, right?
Daphne's sure dreaming

Daphne Rose's hopes of Carter Walton declaring his undying love for her after a few whiffs of perfume were dashed this week by Carter telling her that he is indeed in love again — with Hope, the woman he was just in love with last week. Carter is anything if not consistent (for now).
But all of Carter's dreams have come true. He is back to being Hope's sunshine. So what if it's all over a man dying? At least Carter has Hope again, and all is right in his world. Poor Daphne has no idea what just happened because she is not used to a man not being intoxicated by her magic fragrances.
In the end, Hope and Carter still don't work or make sense, but Carter is about to make a big move this week that we are going to have to live with.
Is Steffy or Liam right?

Steffy wants Liam to accept any treatment necessary to prolong his life, even if it's not much of a life at all. Liam is not sure that he wants to do that after seeing his mother suffer from cancer and ultimately pass.
This is the story that should be at the forefront right now. It's a deeply human story with one of soaps' finest performers at the center of it all. Liam wants to embrace life while he still can, but he knows that a longer life is not necessarily a better life when you have a fatal prognosis. What will Liam decide to do in the end? Watching that play out will offer the emotional soapy goodness we crave — not another round of destiny's child. Let's see what the coming week will bring...
