All The Bold and the Beautiful fans who have been missing Darin Brooks in the role of Wyatt Spencer are in luck: the actor reveals that he will soon be back in the role of Bill's (Don Diamont) son.
In a new interview on Bold Live with supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk, Brooks opens up about all the projects that have kept him away from the CBS soap opera. He and his wife, Kelly Kruger (ex-Eva, B&B; ex-Mackenzie Browning, The Young and the Restless), recently welcomed their second child, and he's been hard at work on the upcoming AppleTV+ series Amber Brown and the new Hulu and Peacock animated series The Croods: Family Tree.
"We've been rocking and rolling [on Croods]," Brooks shares. "I know they only released, like, four episodes, but we've already done -- we're already in season two, episode 20."
Despite his super busy schedule, the actor shares that he of course made time to recently film some scenes at B&B, which will always be his home.
"We shot an episode the other day with the Spencer men," he reveals. "That's coming up soon, but yeah, I hope to be back with a lot more, and you know, we're having a blast. I miss you guys and thank you guys for being such fans."
Back in November, B&B executive producer and head writer Brad Bell assured fans that Brooks was still very much a part of the soap but was temporarily being put on the backburner due to his outside projects. The EP promised that he had material for Wyatt in the pipeline, though he didn't reveal what future plans he had for the character.
As for what Brooks would like to see for Wyatt, the actor enthuses, "I know a lot of people have been talking about the whole Hope [Annika Noelle]-Wyatt revisit, that sort of relationship, a little, now that everybody's sort of grown up, you know what I mean? Maybe there's something there. I think it would be kind of fun to revisit that storyline again."
