What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope dropped by Il Giardino to visit Deke, and she apologized for how he was abruptly let go at Forrester. Sheila interrupted her stepchildren and hoped to use the moment as a means of coming together. Sheila praised herself for being part of the success of the restaurant's rise to the top.
Hope didn't discount Sheila's contributions, and Sheila wanted to prove herself to them. She believed their commitment was stronger than ever, and she wanted everyone to have faith in her marriage. They managed to avoid Sheila, and Hope and Deke quickly realized that they both knew about their father's situationship with the good doctor.
Hope was stunned that Deke already knew that something was going on between Deacon and Taylor. She didn't blame Steffy for her concerns over Sheila's reaction. However, she hoped that Taylor could be the one thing that pushed their father to leave his murderous wife in the past.

Steffy returned home after the showdown with Taylor at her office. A shirtless Finn joined her inside, and she immediately dove into how worried she was for her mother. Finn asked if Taylor was alright, and Steffy admitted that things had changed.
Steffy said, "I caught them," which instantly captured Finn's attention. She stated that she found them together in her office, and their newfound connection had become obvious. Finn was confused about the level of Taylor and Deacon's involvement.
Steffy ran through how Taylor admitted her feelings for Deacon, and the most troubling part of it all was Deacon's wife. He was married to Sheila, Finn's biological mother, and if she uncovered the truth about this, her level of instability would rise. Steffy was terrified that Taylor had placed a target directly on her back.
Finn offered to talk to Deacon and try to make things right. Steffy didn't think that was needed since she spoke to her mother and to Hope. She was hopeful that she got through to everyone and squashed this before it progressed.
Finn was planning a celebration for Steffy and himself. It was nothing specific. Instead, it was a celebration for every day of their life. She wondered if she had missed an important date or milestone, but he assured her that it wasn't the case. Finn knew that Steffy worried about Taylor, but he promised that they'd make it through it together.

At Taylor's office, Taylor pressed Deacon regarding what he meant when he stated that he was "happy enough." He evaded the question. To stay happy, Deacon wanted to keep seeing Taylor if that remained a possibility. However, he asked Taylor what she wanted.
Taylor responded with the same answer that Deacon gave. She was "happy enough." Deacon wanted more for her and believed that she deserved to be fully satisfied. However, the current state of her life would have to make do.
Taylor explained how upset Steffy was at what she overheard. Deacon didn't think anything would make his feelings for Taylor go away. He believed that not only did he need her, but Taylor also needed him.
After Deacon departed, Sheila burst through Taylor's office and demanded that she listen to her. She insisted that there was nobody else she could talk to, and she declared, "I need your help, Taylor."
Sheila droned on about Hope and Deke not listening to her, and nothing worked to compel them to give her a chance. Sheila thought that Taylor could convince Deacon's children to come around to her. She knew that Taylor could be honest with her, and she reminded her that she risked her life to save Steffy's.
Sheila needed the distance between her and her stepchildren to come to an end. Beyond that, she wished they'd find a way to love her. Taylor tried to cut her off, but Sheila was entirely unreasonable.
Sheila begged Taylor to help her fix things with Deke and Hope. Sheila loved Deacon too much to put him in the middle. Sheila told Taylor, "Deacon is my entire world. I refuse to let anything come between us."

In the Forrester showroom, Daphne thought Carter's impromptu proposal was crazy. She felt that it was an extreme countermeasure to keep her in town. However, Carter pleaded his case, saying that they could have a future together. Suddenly, Daphne was "the one" for him, and nothing could possibly change that.
This wasn't the first time that a man had proposed to Daphne. She also had never agreed to marry anyone. Carter believed he would be the first person whose proposal she'd accept. He revealed that he "borrowed" a ring from the jewelry line and raced to her, ready to pop the question.
Carter recalled his previous relationships and the missteps he made in those. He was desperate to find someone to spend his life with. Carter vowed that she was the woman for him, and he'd follow her to Paris, the moon, and everywhere in between to be with her.
Daphne replied, "Yes, Carter. I will marry you." The two shared a passionate kiss, and he placed the ring on her finger. Shortly thereafter, the couple arrived at a hotel room, and she was immediately captivated by a familiar scent. Carter remembered the first time they met, and he wanted to invoke a sensory experience.
Carter told Daphne that her words and compassion guided them to that very moment. He found her scent irresistible, and this was the strongest he'd ever felt about another woman.
After months of taking things slow, the newly engaged pair finally took their relationship to the next level with a celebratory tryst in the sheets of their hotel room. Suddenly, the passion ignited between them, burning brighter than ever before.
