The Bold and the Beautiful's Liam is gonna Liam, isn't he?

Even a fake brush with death can't change The Bold and the Beautiful's Liam. He's like that old Carpenters song and knows he needs to be in love. And Liam will always love one of two women, and usually the one who is around at the moment. Hope is around for now, so she is the lucky lady of the hour.

It's a good thing Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is out of town without Kelly (is Hayes with her?) because if she had stuck around, Liam (Scott Clifton) wouldn't know which one of his sister wives he wanted now. But it's out of sight, out of mind for Liam. Hope (Annika Noelle) is the one who has been by his side every day for the last few weeks, so Hope is the one he wants.

It has never mattered to Liam whether either of these ladies has been available. Remember when he kept kissing Steffy two years ago after Hope and Thomas first got together? He didn't care that she was married to Finn (Tanner Novlan) and kept telling him to stop aiming for her lips.

The fact that Hope is engaged to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is neither here nor there for Liam. It's just a silly engagement she entered into when she thought Liam was dying, so in Liam's mind, Carter is just the consolation prize. And he just might be right.

Liam and Hope's marriage ended because Hope couldn't control her feelings for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) any longer. However, Thomas wanted more than Hope could give, so he left Hope without a man. After a disastrous flirtation with Finn, Carter was there to pay Hope attention, and she ate it up. Now, she is engaged to the man, but does she really and truly love him?

That's a question Hope has to ask herself now that Liam has made his wants and intentions clear. He wants nothing more than to fix their family, but does Hope want the same?

The one thing Hope needs to remember is that some people just don't change. Liam is acting like his old self again, which only means that when Steffy returns, Liam's eyes and heart will wander. Does Hope still want a man who wants her and only her, or is she willing to go back on the same merry-go-round with Liam?
