After he announced his breakup from Terrence, Benito Skinner told his fans that his split from Terrence should not be a reason for them to never believe in love. According to Benito, fans should see his relationship with Terrence as proof that love exists.
“Over the years, I've seen comments that say, 'If you break up, I'll stop believing in love.' Um, or 'I'll KMS.' So, I would just strongly urge to not do that, please...if us breaking up makes you stop believing in love.”
He added:
“I think it should be the opposite because I was with someone so special to me for 9 years, in a committed relationship with my best friend. We loved and championed each other.”
He spoke about their last relationship, adding that he already met his family.
“We grew up together in so many ways. My whole 20s were with Terry, and I feel so unbelievably lucky to have met him and be a part of his family. I love his family. I love the cousins. So, I hope that if anything, you should believe in love because I really had it.”
Benito added:
“I really feel so lucky to have met him and been around his genius. He is always a friend of this pod. Grandpa Terry forever.”
Benito Skinner also asked for privacy from fans as they both navigate this moment.
“I would love a little bit of privacy and respect for both of us," he added.
