On Wednesday night, October 1, 2025, NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was co-hosted by Grammy-winning rapper Doja Cat. She sat next to Fallon behind the late-night desk.

The episode was Doja Cat's first time co-hosting the show. It soon became a topic of discussion online. Fans reacted, saying:

"Ha! Comedy and chaos make a perfect duo. Doja teaming with Jimmy Fallon to co-host "The Tonight Show" promises a night where anything can happen - and probably will. 🎤A😂💖🌟"

The appearance came days after the release of Doja Cat's fifth studio album, Vie. Her stop at The Tonight Show was a promotional push. She also did an experiment in hosting like other music stars, such as Ed Sheeran, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and Shawn Mendes, who have also shared Fallon's seat.

In her interview portion, Doja Cat opened up about Vie:

"It came from a series of wordplay. This is my fifth album, so five is the Roman numeral V. I wanted more, so I thought of ‘Vie,’ the French word for life."
