The trailer has also been released on the streaming platform. Helmed by Jason Perez, this film is thought to break several preconceived notions by providing an accurate portrayal of the repressed history of the Black community that actually shaped the Wild West we know today.

In its logline, it continues:

Featuring original interviews with Jordan Peele, Tina Knowles, Glynn Turman, Pam Grier, The Compton Cowboys, Rick Ross, and Bun B, paired with archival footage, photographs, and an original score by Raphael Saadiq, this series sets the record straight on the American Frontier. It rides into the forgotten corners of history, shattering myths and celebrating the Black cowboys, farmers, jockeys, musicians, and rodeo champions who built the West — and now reclaim their place in the saddle, sitting high atop the horse.

According to Deadline, the film features real interviews with notable individuals, including The Compton Cowboys, Blanco Brown, Glynn Turman, INK, Bun B, Tina Knowles, Jordan Peele, and many others.
