Wale recently appeared on the Club Shay Shay podcast on December 17, 2025. During the appearance, he was asked about dating speculations with Solange Knowles, the 39-year-old sister of Beyoncé. Wale refuted such speculations, stating that he and Solange were good friends:"No, we was real good friends. She's got a great ear. She was one of the first, like, super celebrity people that really liked my music. I remember we performed together at the VMAs...We just got cool, she put me on cause I was still very very like underground. She put me on to a lot of stuff. Like back then."He went on:"We just cool. That's my people, man. If anybody knows Solo, they know that she's always ahead, she thinks ahead. She saw what a lot of people see in me now back then."Wale's addressal of the dating speculations is one of the few times either of the two have spoken about the rumors.
