The message read, “In loving memory of Paul Teal,” as the episode concluded. This gesture allowed fans to recognize Paul’s work and honor his memory. Paul’s partner, Emilia Torello, shared that he worked on the show during his treatment and received support from the cast and crew throughout.

Paul was also known for a guest role in One Tree Hill during its seventh season. After his death, several costars, including Jana Kramer and Sophia Bush, shared memories of working with him and expressed their sadness.

Paul passed away on 15 November 2024 in North Carolina. Emilia Torello confirmed his death and stated that Paul battled the disease over a seven-month period. Emilia was engaged to Paul and they both collaborated on The Hunting Wives. In her post on Instagram dedicated to his death, Emilia saw Paul as her soulmate, and talked about how much she misses him.

She wrote in his memory that he introduced love, laughter and support in her life. She also revealed that a part of her died with him and that she would still strive to be happy in life in the way drawing strength from his memories.

In April 2024, Emilia posted a video of the two on a canoe date challenge on her birthday. She explained that it was difficult to celebrate subsequent birthdays without him.

Paul is no longer with us but his last performance as well as the love of people around him will always be remembered.
