Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers’ split has taken another turn, with fresh claims adding to their ongoing divorce battle. The latest reported statement in the legal documents by Aaron, according to TMZ, says:
"I believe this entire domestic violence proceeding is merely a ruse to try to cut me off from being able to obtain spousal support."
Aaron Phypers claims Denise Richards fabricated abuse allegations to keep from paying him spousal support. Denise Richards first raised these claims in July, stating them in court documents, as reported by Page Six:
"Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack"
She also reportedly accused Phypers of threatening her life should she report him to law enforcement. Phypers had previously also denied the allegations when they were first made and has once again rejected them now.
According to another section of the legal filing, cited by TMZ, Aaron said:
"She is the one who has income and she should be paying support to me."
He alleged that Denise placed an AirTag on his vehicle to track him, destroyed his phone, and that she has harassed and even assaulted him on many occasions. As of now, Denise Richards has not publicly responded to Aaron Phypers’ latest statements or addressed his claims.
Aaron Phypers reveals a peek into Denise Richards’ house
Aaron Phypers offered an inside look at Richards’ $3.5 million California mansion in an exclusive video released by Inside Edition earlier this month. Showing the condition of the rooms, he said:
"All her stuff, this is how she left it"
The house had stained carpets and messy piles of things everywhere. Showing the closet condition, Aaron said:
"There's hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of vintage clothes, and it's riddled with moths. She buys makeup and keeps buying makeup and gets more makeup."
Aaron reportedly revealed that he stays downstairs with his parents and 15 dogs in the mansion and is not allowed to touch her stuff. Regarding the black eye Denise claimed Aaron gave her, he responded in the outlet’s video:
"It looks like makeup. I did not ever cause any black eye, bruise, or anything."
Continuing his statement, he said:
"She's upset. I publicly dumped her to the world, and she's mad. So how does she retaliate? file a bogus abuse claim."
Phypers filed for divorce from Denise Richards in July and requested spousal support as part of the proceedings. The two reportedly married in 2018.
