Jon Bon Jovi becomes a grandpa as son Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown adopt a baby girl

Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have officially become parents. On August 21, 2025, the couple revealed that they had adopted a “sweet baby girl” earlier this summer. With the exciting news, music icon Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, are now proud grandparents.

In a joint post on Instagram, the Stranger Things actress and Bongiovi shared that they were excited to be new parents:

"This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy."

Millie Bobby Brown and Bongiovi began dating in 2021 after sparking romance rumours. The couple reportedly connected on Instagram and were friends briefly before they started dating. They married at a private wedding ceremony at the Villa Cetinale in Italy and shared the stunning images from the event on Instagram.

Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, are high school sweethearts who eloped to Las Vegas in 1989 after nine years of dating. Together, they have four children: Stephanie, their eldest and only daughter; Jesse, their first son; Jake, their second-born son; and Romeo, their youngest. Throughout the years, the couple has remained deeply supportive of their children, including Jake and his marriage.

After Millie and Jake announced their engagement in 2023, Jon Bon Jovi gushed about the young couple in an interview with E! News:

"They’re growing together. They’re madly in love, and we love them both for that. It’s an exciting adventure.”

After the couple’s wedding, Jon Bon Jovi shared details about the wedding in an interview with BBC’s The One Show:

"It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake was happy as can be.”

The rock legend also compared his son’s marriage to the Enola Holmes actress to his and his wife’s, stating that it was an

“accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago and I think, with the support of family around them, they’re gonna be great together,

Millie Bobby Brown, on her part, has described her father-in-law as supportive, stating that he’s always there for her when she needs support and advice.
