As confirmed by the platform's official website, Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword will be available to watch for free on Tubi.

Upon the release of this fantasy action-adventure in 2017, it received polarized reviews from the critics. It garnered a rating of 6.7/10 at IMDb and a score of only 31% at Rotten Tomatoes. Interestingly, however, the film has been liked by the audience. Its Popcornmeter rating, as opposed to its Tomatometer rating, rises to 69%.

Commercially, too, the film did not succeed as one might expect. As per the Los Angeles Times, the film was made on a budget of $175 million. But unfortunately, the total global collection that the film could garner was only $149,175,066, as reported by Box Office Mojo.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword was supposed to be followed by a series of films, but looking at its underwhelming box office numbers, the plan was dropped. As reported by the outlet, Box Office Analyst Jeff Bock was critical of the film's writing, direction, as well as its cast. In his statement, he had mentioned:

"King Arthur is a paint-by-numbers Hollywood disaster - wrong director, wrong cast, wrong script, etc.,”

Adding:

“The whole Game of Thrones-on-steroids direction the studio went with from the get-go just didn’t get anyone psyched to see this.”

Meanwhile, at Popcornmeter, some of the audience penned a completely different review about the film. One of the reviewers, named Miko S, wrote in the review with a full star rating. It was laced with praises about the cast, CGI work, its narrative, as well as its music, as the comment reads:

"I simply cannot understand why this movie has such low ratings, fantastic cast, good graphics, amazing soundtrack, great storyline, I genuinely love this movie."

Perhaps this free streaming on Tubi could provide a good chance for the audience to watch or revisit the film and decide for themselves.
