Max Ehrich, Demi Lovato’s former fiancé, arrested in Florida on domestic violence charges allegedly involving a family member

American actor, singer, and dancer Max Ehrich was recently arrested, according to sources from TMZ. The 34-year-old actor was arrested because he allegedly attacked an elderly family member, who was probably 65 years old or older. According to TMZ, Max was arrested on Tuesday night and later posted bail of $1000 and was released from jail.

TMZ also reported that Max had been acting unstable the entire day. He went live on social media a number of times on Tuesday, and his mother can be seen in the room. But the family member who was allegedly attacked has not been revealed to the public.

For those who may not remember the actor, Max Ehrich was once engaged to singer Demi Lovato. However, their relationship and engagement were short-lived. Max proposed to Lovato only four months into their relationship. Two months after they were engaged, the couple decided to part ways.

Max Ehrich and Demi Lovato's relationship can be coined as a "COVID-19 relationship". The pair got together in 2020 during the pandemic, and were spending a lot of time together due to the quarantine.

According to sources from Us, they shared:

Although Demi and Max had been dating for just four months, the insider added:

"Their families wouldn't be surprised by the proposal... They think they make a great couple."

Ehrich and Lovato's relationship began in March 2020, and by July 23, he popped the question.

In a now-deleted post on Instagram, Demi Lovato shared the news of her engagement, writing:

"@maxehrich – I knew I loved you the moment I met you... It was something I can't describe to anyone who hasn't experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I've never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all. You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself."

She concluded by writing:

"I'm honored to accept your hand in marriage. I love you more than a caption could express but I'm ecstatic to start a family and life with you. I love you forever my baby. My partner. Here's to our future!!!!"

Later, it was revealed that Max Ehrich had always had a crush on Demi Lovato, even before they started seeing each other. One of his old tweets read:

"All I wanted for Christmas was Demi Lovato. #CantAlwaysGetWhatYouWant"

To which Lovato replied, saying:

"@maxehrich every Christmas? We love a little manifestation"

Two months later, in September, news of their separation made headlines, and many were sad to see them part ways.
